No reason the pumps can't be just as intense, train harder or use different exercises. You can actually get comparable workouts to when younger, factoring the increased knowledge and experience as a counterbalance to slightly reduced energy when older.

I'm in my early 30's and I already feel like I have one foot in the grave. lol

I will just be happy if I'm still lifting at 40.

i try to keep my reps higher for the pump, squeezing the muscle group to it's full potential. although pro hormones help for sure. i still squat and sometimes heavy but again mostly for reps 10,12,15,18. i also work 7p/7a so that also beats up my body, but training keeps me feeling healthy. appreciate the support fellas

I am 44 and my training is the best it has ever been. Can't train as heavy all the time like I used to. Just have to train smarter.

training gives you the distinct advantage of other people your age, the older that you get the bigger the advantage. Usually at that age people usually are resigned to the idea that you are suppose to grow a gut and drift off slowly into death.

that good thing about well trained at that age is that women from all ages check out...more power to you..keep up the hard work

LOL. You still have zero capacity for self-reflection - ie. you really should read what you write before hitting 'post.' Maybe that is a quality you'll acquire after passing the big 40 milestone?   ;)

no doubt about training smarter. thats why i do  assortment of exercises, before it was all dumbells and barbell work, now i use the hammer stregnth equipment with dumbells ect, sometimes hammer stregnth only, giving joints and ligaments, tendons a break.
i do, or i try to do more cardio; or weights and cardio later in the work out, giant sets also keep the heart pumping hard.
as long as im gettting in there and making progress in some way.
other that a occasional pro hormone i train drug free.
