anyone that says different doesn't know his biochem and there is no need to argue with someone who gets all his nutritional advice from flex magazine.
The last time I checked FLEX recommands no more then a gram per pound, so if anyone here is follwing FLEX its you not me, I live in reality and if I drop my protein intake to 1 gram I can't workout as often because my muscles haven't fully recuperated in time, this is based on personal experience, my strengths also go down, I'm sorry but I can't keep my 500 pound bench at a gram per pound.

I don't recall FLEX recommending "no more than a gram per pound". The sample diets are usually based on a guy weighing 180 lbs or 200 lbs. Most of the time, 1.5 grams/lb. of bodyweight is recommended. From what I've read, that's a starting point.

Sorry, its been a while since I've read FLEX, 1.5 sounds right, but it all depends on a lot of things really, in my case I need at least 2 grams because I'm on a Keto- diet

I was reading a thread on ProM and alot of the dudes were saying they ate 400-600 grams a day.  This sounds like bullshit to me.

I'd estimate I eat about 150 grams per day (sometime more, sometimes less).

One gram per pound of body weight, divided up over 5 meals.

You probably get 20-30g protein from carb sources too, like oatmeal. Do you include those in your 1g/lb rule?

all in all i get about 220g per day, more if calories go up.
