Bolt acts like a jackass everytime he wins. Fixing his eyebrows, pointing at the camera. It's makes him look foolish. Phelps dominates the water just as impressively as Bolt does track.

He was very low-key after winning gold in the 200.

That's what white folks want to see.

What does race have to do with it?  ::)

I have friends that aren't white that said it was disrespectful.

These guys are really only marketable every four years.

Lebron is the best athlete in the Olympics.

That lop from the movie "Kids" disgusted me to no end.

After winning the 100, the world was appalled at his behavior, and rightfully so.  He obviously had not been taught well and thought he was still on the playground.

By the time he won the 200, however, it was evident that some of the old heads had spoken to him about humility and thankfulness.

The image of him after the 200 is what the world wanted to see, so all is forgiven.

Sprinters are some of the most arrogant pricks in the world.

What he did was actually kind of mild compared to some others.

I would say phelps. Competing in 8 events and winning them all is insane. I know some of them were relays, but still...

Bolt is great too, don't get me wrong. But you quite often have guys that win the 100m and 200m dash.

In swimming: 100m freestyle is THE event. Only swimming that could be compared to 100m dash in terms of people competing in it around the world.

Phelps didn't participate in it.

If you'd have 60m, 100m, 150m & 200m dashes Bolt would have 4 golds.
He would also win 100m hands down dash, if there was one.

Totally different sports:

To me, swimming has too many events that are too close to each other. And that Phelps didn't do 100m free, to me, turns this one to Bolt.

I'd say Bolt because there's no special swim suit that requires a 5 man team to put on 30 minutes of squeezing into.  It's pure raw speed to be a track star.

Boly, because he has a 10 inch cock...
I hate the State.

Not really actually, last one to do it was Carl Lewis, and before that was another Jamaican guy like 40 years ago. Plus Bolt is the only person in history to win them both in WR style, that's never been done before.

He only has so many medals cause he had like 80 swimming events to pick and choose from. Look at other sports like soccer, hockey, basketball ans so on - those guys only can get 1 medal and they have to win the whole thing. Those guys dont get to try for 8 medals, cause there is none.

Exactly...one thing about swimming, they give out more medals than like 15 other sports combined [literally]. A swimmer could in theory win 16 golds. Many others can only win one.  Those US female beach volleyball players are great - only 1 medal to win. Marathon runners - only 1 medal. Soccer players - 1 medal to win. The US Basketball team defines the term "the best" - only 1 medal to win. Boxers can only win one medal. The list goes on....no sport is capable of winning 8 medals in the games except swimming, they are the only ones with enough medals.

So I take nothing from Phelps, but really how does one want like Lebron, Kobe, Misty May etc to win 8 golds? Play in the Olympics over 32 years? Damn.

And [I don't know?] wouldn't Kobe prolly be like the highest earner? Makes the most from endorsements out of all athletes and highest paid maybe?

Bolt is average. Take a few inches of his height and he isnīt better then anyone of his competitors...
He is good because he is fast and TALL. Take tall away and you have a average runner.

Phelps dominates people his own height on a daily basis.

Phelps has retard strength. He would easily win in a fight with Bolt!

Valid points. Swimming is indeed the only sport where one has a chance of doing that. But still, he did it which is easier said than done. It's not like he's the only one in the pool. Freestyle, relay and butterfly are very different events and every event has guys that train specifically for that one. Also he has to recover very fast from every race and have tremendous mental focus every time.

Not taking anything away from the other athletes, but i used to swim as well, and i can see what the big deal is about.

=  Phelps better,
Stupid argument. Untill quite recently they said tall people would be worse at sprinting than average/short people.

They are.
But accidentally Bolt isnīt therefore he is the best.
Because of his height.

If bolt was 5"10 with the same speed, technique and so on. He wouldn't be top 3.

I would say that at least the top six in the hundred were on juice. Charlie Francis once said that the genetic limit for a natural sprinter is 10 flat. The field wasn't very deep this year in the 100. Asafa Powell looked like he was way off and the Americans look like they are not doped. Tyson Gay has got to be the softest world champ ever. The greatest sprinters in the history of the sport are :

Ben Johnson
Carl Lewis
Jesse Owens
Maurice Green
Usain Bolt
Michael Johnson

BTW- I've met Ben many times and he is one humble dude who got totally railroaded. You have as much chance qualifying for the 100 final clean as you do winning the Olympia with creatine.

Lastly, since I was on a track scholarship, and am still in the loop the hardest event to win at the Olympics is the 800m- deepest field and one tactical mistake you're done.

As for Phelps: NBC is killing me with the Phelps dick sucking- he is a fucking SWIMMER and his jaw and head definately indicate heavy GH usage as well as retardation.

Damn right Phelps is better. Just cause this nig. can run fast, don't mean shit to me. Someone will beat him next olympia, just like what happened to Johnson and Gray.
