anyone can do heavy db rows, do you know how many skinny geeks i've seen using 150 pound plus db's for rows? one of the easiest movements in all of lifting.

yep.... this is what dorian talks about in the vid..... i take it u didnt see it....

dorian is one of the strongest bodybuilders.... with perfect form

his form for dumbell rows has a peak contraction at the top and smooth motion ...

he explains that if u cant get a smooth motion and pause at the contraction then the weight is too heavy and ur using momentum to get the weight up its not 100% muscle

these are very simple basic training methods that people start to ignore for some reason

i dont imagine many guys trainin lats can actually get a peak contraction in the lats and feel the muscle tretch out again

hahhaha are u even reading this thread...

what im sayin is dorian is pretty strong...with perfect form

its all about the form if everyone used perfect form they would have to drop a lot of weight....

not dorian though... his form is always perfect and he still lifts among the heaviest

Exactly. I'd LOVE to see a "skinny geek" do a 150lb db row with perfect form and hold the contraction at the peak. LOL. The bullshit is deep around here as usual.

ronnie was strong, but he had some of the worst form i've seen by a professional.

Dorian never held the contraction on anything except that stupid clip of him training Dugdale, he sure didn't do it on Blood and Guts with his goofy standing upright shrug/row/deadlift combination he called a barbell row. ::)

Mark: "I like these dumbells, but they're a little bit loose"

Dorian: "Yeah, I like em' that way"

Mark: "They're not gonna come loose or anything?"

Dorian: "No... at least I hope not-- then you'd have to sue me, you know how you Americans are, sueing over anything"

I'd like to see a "skinny geek" row 150's period  ::). Dorian did pause all of his hammer strength pulldown reps and semi-paused his incline presses too. Only knock on him would be that he did'nt bend much on bent rows but it oviously worked for him and the actual motion was strict as can be(no bouncing) and perhaps his dumbell/barbell curls were'nt 100% textbook like all his other lifts.

Why is there a Team Nasser but no Team Dorian?
Because Nassoil has a huge gay following on here.. Only real bodybuilding fans like Dorian.

somehow I look at this vid and all these years the word was Dorian did a few light warmups and then BANG one HD, balls to the wall set......but look at him training Dugdale.....even on the very first set he says 15 reps but they're full on....Dugdale is struggling.....he's hits failure nearly.....exhausated... ..take leg press....on the 2nd set (which according to Heavy Duty training, should still be a relative warm-up), well Dugdale absolutely struggles at about the 5-6th rep.....yes, this is low-rang, heavy, hardcode training....but its multiple sets type training....

his form is pretty good on those but he's still rocking back and forth a little bit and not really lowering for a full stretch but he is using 315 so i'll give him a break.

I remember when "Blood N Guts" first came out (VHS there were no DVD'S back then)
Me and all my buddies all did the "standing up-underhand grip barbell row" and we all started "yelling" at each other like Leroy did to Yates lol

even tried Dorians verison of Mentzers "Heavy -Duty" (hated it/not enough volume for me)
saw Dorian guest pose/seminars a few times
he was the man back then!

Very good stuff. Nice to see some of the back stuff I did today being reinforced by Dorian in that vid. -ie. I love that Hammer pulldown machine and it is all about pulling your hands back as far as possible for contraction.

/i won't even talk about the two clowns i saw one-arm rowing the 120's for 2-3". oh, and letting the dumbbells go 'boom' on the floor when they drop them

Ronnie is/was strong, but his form sucked because of the poundages he used.

Dorian is very strong and his forum is PERFECT.

What I thought was coincidental is the fact his form was so perfect, yet he had so many muscle tears.
