Look very similar. The first looks more out of focus, but cuts appear deeper, particularly at top. Why?

Even though the first picture is out of focus I would still say that looks better.

As for which contest they're from, I doubt anyone is that anal about knowing.

Same condition. You can tell from the veins. Just different lighting. Left making them look better
