He's an senile old warhorse who's seen much better days.  Everybody is tired of his act.  I don't see how in the hell this guy will get elected.  Never underestimate the stupidity of the American people though.

CryBaby Mccain yesterday said, "No Bailout, No Debate." and was completely FIRM with that position.

Guess what didn`t occur?  The Bailout.

Now the clown says, ok, I will debate.  hahahhaah

Imagine what happens if he wins this thing!  He'll be ready to declare WWIII within a few weeks of taking office.

I'm not a huge fan by any means, but Obama is the only choice in this election.  We need a rational thinker in the office.

They're doing everything possible to postpone the Palin debate indefinitely.

mcCain flipflopped.  It was more a cry for attention than anything else.  Both Repubs and Dems admitted he was pretty irrelevant to the economic discussion.  (Obama was too - these talks are above their heads by experts in congress on finance and banking).

however mccain was the only one to make the whole dog/pony show out of cancelling debate to 'save the say' which he did not.  Even paulson admitted that his presence stalled what was a near-complete piece of legislation.

i don't blame him.  He's desperate at this point.

You make a good point.  The president is uspposd to be a decisive man.  Mccain appears to be very indecisive at this point.  Do you want a leader who isn't stable?

My theory on this whole charade is this:

Mccain was informed by his staff that Palin was proving to be so hopeless with the mock debates and she is not learning anything or capable of it.  Mccain is known to have a huge temper and he himself is entirely frustrated with Palin.  So he tried to suspend the debates in the hopes that Palin could avoid the debates or stall for more time in the hopes that the people wouldn`t have adequate time to pay attention.

They also may have discussed replacing Palin altogether.  Mccain and his aides are clearly frustrated with her and are in damage control.  They don`t know what to do.  They know Palin is ruining it for him even worse than he is ruining it for himself.

She needs to back out immediately and cite family issues as the reason.  She's a fraud that didn't take too long to expose.  I almost feel sorry for her total incompetence, but I don't want her even sniffing the VP slot.  She's mentally deficient, McCain is mentally unstable.

DO NOT VOTE FOR THE CRAZIES!

I've never seen Dave L. go off on someone of such high prestige for a long period of time.  He even brought Olbermann on and railed against McCain.  All fair play after what McCain did though.

But McCain helped so much in washington, they need him!

Quote
Inside an intense White House meeting over the financial crisis on Thursday, where nearly every key player came to an agreement on the outlines of the bailout package, Sen. John McCain stuck out. The Republican candidate, according to sources with direct knowledge, sat quiet through most of the meeting, never offered specifics, and spoke only at the end to raise doubts about the rough compromise that the White House and congressional leaders were nearing.

McCain's reluctance to jump on board the bailout agreement could throw the entire week-long negotiation into a tailspin. Sen. Chris Dodd, after leaving the White House, suggested on CNN that the tenuous process could be derailed by what he viewed as McCain's political motives.

"What happened here, basically, if you want an honest appraisal of the thing, we have been spending a lot of time and I am tired. I have spent almost seven straight days at this in trying to come out with a workout plan for our economy a rescue plan," said Dodd. "What this looked like to me was a rescue plan for John McCain for two hours and took us away from the work we are trying to do today. Serious people trying to do serious work to come up with an answer."

According to the source with knowledge of the White House gathering -- which featured both presidential candidates, congressional leaders and the President -- virtually ever key figure in the room, save McCain and GOP Sen. Richard Shelby, were in agreement over a revised version of Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson's plan.

Towards the end, McCain finally spoke up, mentioning a counter-proposal that had been offered by some conservative House Republicans, which would suspend the capital gains tax for two years and provide tax incentives to encourage firms that buy up bad debt. McCain did not discuss specifics of the plan, though, and was non-committal about supporting it.

Paulson, however, argued directly against the conservative proposal. "He said that he did not think it would work," according to the source. At another point in the meeting, President Bush chimed in, "If money isn't loosened, this sucker could go down" -- and by sucker he meant economy.

ABC News reported that, following the meeting, Paulson "walked into the room where Democrats were caucusing...at the White House and pleaded with them 'please don't blow this up.'" But this story isn't incomplete, according to sources.

Democrats stayed talking in the Roosevelt room and Paulson approached them. After his comment, Speaker Pelosi and Rep. Barney Frank shot back that the real problem was with House Republicans. Paulson replied, "I know, I know," as he got down on one knee to lighten the mood. Pelosi joked back, "I didn't know you were a Catholic."

Yes, they can replace Palin at this stage in the game.  The most likely scenario is that she will withdraw from the VP slot and cite some sort of issue within her family that has to be addressed.  This woman's life is so chaotic, it wouldn't be a stretch to come out with a story like this...hell, it might even have a little truth in it.

I love how you hide behind the name calling.  Every single post, it's "libs" or "commie."  Save us "COACH."  We don't care to hear your uninformed, unintelligent, insulated opinion.  McCain is total horse dung Coach!  As bad as Obama is (and he's no great prize), he's certainly better than John McCain.
