Tonight at the debate:

At the debate tonight, McCain plans to attack Obama for 'supporting' Bush's 700 billion dollar bailout, while at the same time extolling the virtues of the House Republicans' alternative proposal, which he will claim better protects the interests of homeowners and taxpayers.

The idea is to link Obama with Bush and to shore up McCain's reputation as a "maverick."

He's also hoping to catch Obama off guard by shifting the focus of the debate to the bailout rather than the stated topic of foreign policy, the thinking being that Obama only rehearsed for a debate on foreign policy.

I just hope Obama punches back hard in the debate.  He has to be real and not over think his responses to mcsame.  I hope he brings up the fact the Rick Davis has still be receiving money from Freddy mac.  I want to see mcsames face turn red! and see him get pissed off.  That is what Obama needs to try and do, he needs to get under mcsames cancerous skin and get him so pissed off that he stumbles on his words, and looks like an old grumpy bastard.

My theory on this whole charade is this:

Mccain was informed by his staff that Palin was proving to be so hopeless with the mock debates and she is not learning anything or capable of it.  Mccain is known to have a huge temper and he himself is entirely frustrated with Palin.  So he tried to suspend the debates in the hopes that Palin could avoid the debates or stall for more time in the hopes that the people wouldn`t have adequate time to pay attention.

They also may have discussed replacing Palin altogether.  Mccain and his aides are clearly frustrated with her and are in damage control.  They don`t know what to do.  They know Palin is ruining it for him even worse than he is ruining it for himself.

I have been hitting the conservative blogosphere and they are in a panic and turmoil about all of this.  They are even thinking this is the case.  Apparently some of Mccain`s top aides are frustrated and quoted as saying Pain is "hopeless", "embarassment" in regards to them trying to teach her policy and specifics for the upcoming debate.
