« on: December 03, 2008, 09:48:58 PM »
This is a last ditch effort right now, but i need some advice.
I am around 6'1, 200 lbs, 22 year old with a 195 for 4 bench.
Im tryign to lose around 10 pounds, while breaking my current platue.
I've done the one muscle a day week split/ the bis and back etc. split / currently on 3 a day split.
Where do i start?

why on earth would you be trying to LOSE weight and break a strength plateau at the same time? bench presses in my opinion are probably the most bodyweight reliant movements there are meaning that the heavier you are the more you can push 9 times out of 10.

yeah id agree with that. you better do one or the other instead of trying to achieve both goals. 10 pounds shouldnt be too hard to lose, but im not sure with christmas coming up its the best time of the year to go for that  ;)

Definitely, I monitor my lifts, and I can usually lift about an extra kilo for each lb of weight I put on.

3 a day workouts?

if your form is good on bench then there really aint no secret lift and lift heavy, train shoulders and triceps hard as well as they will help with your bench
