i posted on another thread about guys i saw working out on the weights in prison,i have no reason to lie about it.ive seen legit 19 even 20 inch guns natural on some dudes,chests that would make any getbigger proud to have,and lets not even bring up huge ass,ripped to the bone backs.mostly the black guys had the best backs imo,ive seen backs in there that u would not believe.some guys did nothing but chins,all kind of chins,big yard lasted about 1hr and a half, 2 hours in the warmer weather.the big famous big yard workout was to get in line and walk to the chin bar,do your set and then go to the dip bar,do a set and finish off with pushups and repeat,guys would do this for 2 hours straight.the weights they had outside where weather beaten but they did the job,we had pig iron type weights,it wasnt olympic style or nothing but we had aton of 50lb and 100lb plates,plus a bunch of 25,s and dimes.the dumbells where the solid style ones with the octagon type ends so the dbell couldnt roll.the thing was the dbells started at 75 lbs and went to 140,s,so evrything you did with the dbells you had to go fairly heavy with out a light warmup,we did them after benchin so we didnt really need a warmup.they also had 3 flat benches,they where homemade jobs and cemented right into the ground,one incline bench,same model as the flat,we didnt have no squat racks so your training partners would hoist up 2 or 3 hundred lbs or whatever u where usin up on your shoulders,since it was a dirt area u would just dump the bar off your back when your set was done.thats basiclly all we had on the yard but there where some big boys in those weight pens.guys benchin 450 was a norm,thats not bad for a natural guy,some dudes where on alittle ABOMBS that i hooked them up with but they where my teamates on the power lifting team only.6 hundred and 7 hundred lb deads where also fairly common,mostly the brothers had those deadlifts.we did have afew latin boys and italians that had some powerful deadlifts and bench presses also.they had afew whiteboys who where down about 8 or 9 years who where monsters also.the strange thing was i only saw one asian dude the whole time i was down,his name was ying and no one messed with him cause everyone thought the dude knew martial arts cause he was asian,after afew months me and him got cool and he told me he never took a martial art in his life and we both laughed are asses off,he told me just keep it on the down low.ive seen guys come into the system looking like they where on deaths door cause they where so skinny and strung out,only to get bigger by the week when they started lifting weights.im not talking about small gains,im talking putting on 30 lbs in 2 months off solid beef and sick ass abs.the real kicker was alot of these dudes lived on barbecue potato chips and peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches,washing it down with orange soda.im dieting hard and doin everything right and still couldnt touch most of these dudes shape and cut wise.the world aint fair sometimes but you gotta do the best with what genetics god gave you.i think god was out to lunch when it was my turn to get good genetics :'(thanks for reading if you took the time,everything ive wrote is as accurate as i can remember,even though is was about 20 years ago you dont forget certain hardtimes in your life,jail is no joke and alot of times i couldnt get work cause of my record,i straightened out my life once i got released but no employer wants to give you a chance,i didnt blame them though cause in thier eyes i was still a convict.i kept praying and filling out alot of applications for work and finally got some construction work,it was hard but moneys money.then i studied and got a personal training cert and started working in a health club in jersey.its been a rough ride but never give up no matter how many times you get knocked down,just get back up and eventually youll stay up,i did thanks to jesus
