This is what the Vin man rolls in today

Sweet ride. I'm sure Vince could rice that up with a few of his 'improvements'. Maybe a wheelie bar or a spoiler.

Chick stoops to any tactic to discredit critics of his appointed pro athletes rep 'job'. Yes, jobs for the boys and Chick is a bit thick because he doesn't see he is the IFBB pro patsy.

No one has called me a queer or old except on the internet and by assholes who are annonymous. Join the flotsam, Power Rod. How is it possible for so many dickheads to assemble on one internet forum?

I am going nowhere. Someone has to keep stooges like Goodrum and Chick honest.

Wicked this guy was MR CANADIAN 1970....I am from Winnipeg so much respect to you.  Why all the hating on this guy he obviously cares about the sport of Bodybuilding and most of us will not last half as long as he has been training...respect what he has done over so many years if not simply for the pure dedication which is very inspirational to anyone with a pure open mind and a grasp of what it would take to keep it up after all those years....best to ya Vince.....

In January 1959 I vowed to build myself up so that no one would ever bully me. I started lifting weights in a neighbour's basement and didn't train in a gym for many years because there weren't any in Kamloops in those days. To this day I have never been in a fight as an adult. People leave musclemen alone. Even those carrying a bit of safety fat! The trick is to have a sense of humour and know when to back off.

In those days there were no internet goatboys around to deal with. I can't believe the years have gone just like that. The good thing is that the muscles still respond to training and keep growing at any age. You will eventually learn how to train effectively and efficiently. What is lacking is the motivation to want to stay big. That takes a special brain and dedication. Good luck to anyone who is committed to this sport. When you get older you will find that the body tends to fall apart little by little. You will need to wear glasses at about 50 to read small print. Your hair thins and you start getting lines of character. If you keep your muscles growing you will keep looking young. Other than choosing the right parents, you will have to wait and see what your fate is.
I doubt many of you will still be on Getbig when you are 66. Remember one thing, these are still the good old days! Some of you will have gone through 1000 gimmick accounts by then!

thank you for those uplifting words vince, growing up will be fun  :D

You know, folks, bodybuilders have been stereotyped as being all brawn. Chick fits that description perfectly. The guy has no idea that he is a bit thick. He is the kind of guy who people get to collect debts, marshall competitors, and generally be the assistant to the manager.

I mean, why on earth would a representative of the IFBB come on an internet discussion board to discredit a former IFBB national champion? The guy has an agenda and feels elated when the flotsam applause his bullying. The guy has no shame at all and that is why the IFBB use him. If he wants to find out who was in various past contests all he has to do is visit the archives in Joe's office. It is all there in Muscle Builder 1971 and Ironman 1971. I think it is despicable that Chick would stoop to discrediting a champion by implying no one competed against him. Sure, this is Getbig and guys can bullshit all day long and most do. The flotsam sit and clap but cannot win even a local bodybuilding contest.
