So he tested positive in 2003.

So the question now goes why didnt baseball do something about the 104 players that they found positive for steroids, and that is just a small sampling of players.

Rumor had it that up to 50% of the players were using some form of steroids at one time or another, but just a few get caught.

It is such hypocrisy to see that no one cared nor did anything, and still until a few days ago, when Sports Illustrated uncovered the results.

Pro Baseball covered it up, and such is life.

Why lose profits on a game where performance enhanced drugs are used all the time. People want to see the guys score the home runs, and more?

Ron, my understanding is that the sample taken in 2003 was supposed to be a random anonymous test to determine if by percentage, there needed to be more scrutiny of players. Fine, if that's the case, but there is no way his name should have been released and not the other players. He's a twat, but it's not fair.

The tests were conducted by the PA to try and get a gauge on who was using and to see if they could get that number under or at 5%. 50% is low....I would say at least 75% during that time period.

I played a sport in the NCAA during college and more than half my team was on juice. Hell, half my highschool team was on at one point or another.

i believe back when he was tested there was still no rule in the books about not taking gear. so eventhough i hate the guy, i have no real problem with it.

blinky, actually from what I've heard it was on the list of banned substances at the time, but they didn't actively test for it.

If They've let Canseco hit 500 HR and retire none of this would have happened.

He is def a douche but you have to give the guy credit for fessing up. Maybe Bonds should have grown some balls and done the same. I had a feeling A-Rod was juicing and now I can laugh at all my friends who are Yankees fans and swore ARod was clean.

It's not cheating when EVERYONE is doing it. This is the simple fact the the general public needs to understand. There is performance enhancing drugs in ALL professional sports including the olympics. Are they being hypocritical to Arod? Absolutely.

The 3 years he admitted to being on, he avg 52 hr's per season....the other 10 seasons (excluding first 2 in Seattle because they were short season) he averaged 39.2. Just the numbers as they are.

I think he will drop off next season due to being a basketcase.
