Supplements - only dumb people buy them
« on: February 11, 2009, 12:40:17 PM »
If you really think about it, the fundamental basis of this industry and pretty much everything that is wrong with this "sport" are the dumb people falling for the most unbelievable obvious fake advertisement human kind has ever seen.

Good friend of mine (and not the sharpest tool in the box) would fall for any and every f'ing shit these cocksuckers put on the market and i mean ANYTHING, he calls me at least once a month raging about this new product that would stimulate your testosterone level (naturally ::) ) and a week later he has to admit it was all bullshit.
So all these dumb f's fall for these dumb advertisement fall for dumb promises and buy their dumb shit product.
I mean a half way intelligent man would have no problem to figure out that a product called "species ::)" produced by two of the biggest crocks in the BB industry has no f'ing chance in hell to be any good.

So back to the start, these dumb f's buy the product therefore the "Supplement" industry has money to spend on advertisement for the pros they make a bit of cash and need to do less g4p and everybody is happy right?

Wrong, because if you guys have any decency in you, you boycot these lying f'ing snakeoil selling scumbag companies and give them NOTHING, not even the cheese of your dick nada nothing, f'em and f their spokes persons and the pages that push this shit as well.

And f you dumb f' for falling for the most obvious scams

Edit: Three product that have been proven to work and are not to be included in the list above: Protein Powder, Amino Acids, Creatine.

I like protein powder, it's convenient. They should put all the money in making it less hideous.

When it comes to physiques, all that really matters is AAS + calories/protein.

In terms of OTC, I do invest in things like 7-Keto, CLA, Fish Oil, r-ALA, ALCAR, EGCG caps, a few designer pro-hormones, etc.

Otherwise yes, most everything bodybuilding related is pretty useless.  Even knowing this, a true supplement junky has to fight the urge to purchase interesting and novel new products. I still buy stupid shit now and then, its almost like entertainment. ;) Every now and then I get sucked into trying some new thermo/fatburner. I recently bought controlled labs REDuction AM/PM and was pleasantly surprised with its appetite suppression abilities. It's not all useless, but when compared to designer pro-hormones, black market AAS, t3 and albuterol, most "supplements" are a waste of money.

Yep - be like most people and go to fast food joints and gain more weight and be overweight. Yep - that is right, supplement don't work

Get real.

Of course they do.

Some of them don't but many are there to support your moderate intake of food.

That's right on the money; too many people mistake SUPPLEMENT for STAPLE.  These are the same guys who hit up fast food joints and go out to the bar 2 or 3 nights a week, then wonder why they aren't gaining like they should.  We all know the kinda guys I'm talking about.  They are same ones who spend 200 bucks a month on supps, but look like a fat bar bouncer.

I eat a big meal of "junk" food every day. I had no problems cutting down to single digit this way. It was the easiest, most convenient cut I ever made. Only supplement used was protein powder.

BTW, I go to the Asian all-you-can-eat at least twice a week. :D

Nothing wrong with a bit of protein powder.

However, I don't consider that a supplement as it's such a staple part of my diet, I couldn't bodybuild without it.

Well you could get the protein from other sources. Less convenient though.

Supplements dont work. You shit it down the toilets.

Creatine "works", it causes water retention. You stop taking it, you lose all water retention.

Lifting weights builds muscles.
Taking steroids double/triple the mass you can build while lifting weights at the same time. Once you stop them you lose all the gains.

supps and steroids are for weak minded people who feel they need shortcuts due to mental issues. At least steroids users make some improvements.
But both dont believe in important values like work, dedication and patience. Steroids users especially, are cheaters.
You cannot consider supps users as cheaters, cause supps dont do anything.

But steroid users cheat on themselves, and on the others. Most of the time they are people you cant trust.

Ron: what do you know about lifting weights and building muscles anyway?

Humans don't need any supplements in order to have a healthy balanced, normal sized diet, even in today's hectic society.
Most supplements are only mildly beneficial, if not completely redundant.

the only generally useful sup in my view is protein powder. It gets me enough extra protein, whilst I can avoid stuffing my face with dry chicken, cans o tuna etc (which would ruin the satisfaction of eating)

In my opinion only 3 supps worth taking:

Whey - i take it all the time. I just the taste and it is fast and easy

NO - Not sure it gets me any stronger but I get a sweet ass vein in my bicep when i am on it and that is all i care about

Creatine - I put on a decent amount of water weight and can lift a little more so I do it every once in a while when i'm on a bulking phase, but I could definitely do without it.

Top 6 things that every human should do that is very cheap...

1. baking soda to help alkalize the body. 1/4 tsp. twice a day.
2. Apple Cider Vinegar with the "mother" to alkalize the body. 1 Tbsp twice a day.
3. juice from one lemon...Just one a day...
4. get rid of your toothpaste and brush teeth with regular all natural white Soap or
use a product called "tooth soap".
5. Food grade hydrogen peroxide in your water...Cycle this stuff something like 12
    weeks on, 6 weeks off...

6. Bright Light Therapy every morning for 20 minutes.

Perfectly said.

ron.. i totally respect you, absolutely. But, supplements are no good at all. Supplement companies depend on the publics ignorance to buy their products. I have so many resources from my professors about nutrition and supplements its not even funny. These are PhD's in biochemistry Ron. As i have said before, science does not use testimonials. Especially this supplement shit are you KIDDING ME! What exactly do you know about vitamins and minerals, anyway? I mean deeper than just the "you heard Vitamin C was good for you" understanding.

and please, i want to know what clinic these companies test their products in. I want specifics and details.

People taking whey is such a fucking joke.

Seriously, most hardcore bodybuilders I know that eat 6-7 meals a day, most including a large portion of meat - do you really think thats not adequate? You just gotta rush that fucking whey shake within that magical "1 hour postworkout window"  ::)

LOL

So say you train around 5-7 pm. Well, assuming you were awake since 7 a.m, and got around 4 solid meals in with chicken or fish in each, you really think your body has already used that protein? Gee... here we go again.
