« on: February 15, 2009, 04:45:06 PM »
I am fucking addicted to oats now.

Embarking on 200g with 600mls of milk...wish me luck

If my chest would just be 100% i would feel great...

Marginally. Unless you're prone to gyno then there's not much of a reason to worry about estrogen. People make it out as though it's a killer hormone that's going to ruin your entire life. Same goes with soy too. People over analyze shit too much.

Don't know, but I used to eat a ton of oats, then I switched to non-gluten carbs, and I'm alot drier and feel alot better..may want to try grits, brown rice, quinoa..

Yeah I heard Rich Gaspari talk about it in a video when he was preping for the Olympia, that he cuts out all products that contain gluten because it increases estrogen..

pre contest is a different story, then you dont want estrogen, but when looking for muscle gains, estrogen is helpful

I'm not a diet guru but a pre contest diet should be void of anything like gluten for obvious reasons. I think it was Gaspari who even said he doesn't brush his teeth around contest time because of fears he would bloat. But that could be someone else.

Either way, if Goudy doesn't know if he's estrogen prone then it's safe to say that he's not. He doesn't look like he has gyno, so unless he's the kind that sprouts tits after a night of drinking and needs to run SERMs and AIs year-round, then there's nothing to worry about. I know some dudes that are like that and spend almost as much money as it'd cost to just get the damn gyno cut out. :-[

Interesting...well all I know is alot of people don't digest gluten very well, and by just making a simple replacement it has really worked for me, but everybody is different.

Haha..I'm still learning myself I took 2 nutrition courses in college and we touched on Gluten, but I never really paid too much attention to it, but now I'm learning more about bodybuilding diets and if you research Gluten alot of people tend to have trouble with digesting it, that why if you go to health food stores you usually see an area devoted to "Gluten-Free" products, like flours to cook with, noodles, cereals, cookies, extc.. you may want to just expiriment for like a month and see what happens)

My aunt comes down every mas morning and visits us...she HAS to eat gluten free products. has some medical condition. Lupus i think?

Yep. Coeliac disease. Lupus pretty rare (extremely rare worldwide). In NI, not so sure. Interbreeding fucks normal epidemiological stats up...and I'm being serious
