1. No, I have no intention of making money from my board.

2. If you think Bush put us into this, think again. If Obama was so popular as his "policies" don't you think the markets would have recovered by now? No, they have been in the shitter since he won.

Leafy, don't get into this, you're still asking mommy and daddy (both are your cousins incidentally) for money to put gas in your moped.
He's been in office for -what?- a month!? Are you are retard!? It will take him 2 full terms to even start to turn the tide on what Bush has wrought! Un-Fuckin'-believable!!!!  ::)

Hahahah and you are still asking Trisha, Darnella, and Yolonda for child support checks.

hahaha, the midget is melting..

You don't recover from a massive depression just by electing someone, jackass. You want the guy to fail and you want this country to suffer just to see him fail. You are a sad and pathetic little man with no sense of loyalty or integrity, which would explain the divorces and your one sided thinking ability.

I can't have loyalty in something I don't believe in nor in something that has never worked (socialism).

Joe, You may find this thread interesting.

http://www.getbig.com/boards/index.php?topic=264831.0

Turns out, Clinton inherited a DOW at only 3,000 and 7% unemployment in 1993. We were pretty screwed then (economically) thanks to Bush I war in.... iraq :)

Well, Clin introducted a MAJOR stimulas bill too.  Spent $30 billion bucks, and created 7 million jobs.  The economy, as you know, ended up VERY good under CLinton.  This is a fact many people don't tlak about - this Obama plan is just the Clinton plan part 2.  it's nearly identical.

RPF,

How do you think Coach will respond to this thread:
http://www.getbig.com/boards/index.php?topic=264831.0

He voted for Clinton, and then Clinton created this big stimulus plan, as he vowed to do.  And it worked.  By 1994, there was a major turnaround, and CLinton ended up creating 7 million jobs for it, dropping unemployment by almost 2%.

Obama is doing what Clinton did.  Do ya think Coach will be cool with Obama now?

I know his reply will include:

"LIBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

:D

I think many of these "Born Again" types voted for Clinton, and aren't really conservative, but the neo-con thing appeals to them for some reason.  ???

Thank God for the dot com era hey Rob? But as towards the end of his presidency, after the dot com era, we were headed for a recession. The spending spree will work for a while, then taxes will be raised huge to pay for it. You have a kid, when the time comes, explain why he will be paying out the ass for taxes due to a bill that was created 20 years before his time.

It's cyclical.  Obama will heal the economy, but will go overboard with the social programs.  Poor ppl will get rich - and move from being dems to being republicans.  Obama will rule until 2016, then a republican will win, and run thigns for 8 years.

And, in those 8 years, social programs will be cut, war machine will ramp up (defense spending like Bush did), and tax cuts fo corporations will be back.

And, in 8 years, the middle class will have shrunk enough so that the 'swing' voters are poor again - making them Dem voters.

it's a cyclical system we have.  Both sides go 'too far' to their side.  Repubs would let the top 5% have it all, and the dems would let the bottom 80% have it all.  They're both F'ed in the head.  You're making 300k, joe, so you are a republican.  If you had made $24k in 2007, Joe, would you still be a repub voter?  ;)  who knows...

Good post. I think people often feel like they either have to side completely with the Republicans or completely with the Democrats. The truth is that there is a lot of middle ground, and not everything is black and white. I agree with Republicans on some things and Democrats on some things. But I don't just agree with something because it is the official Republican stance or the official Democrat stance on the matter. People need to learn to think for themselves instead of being told what to think.
