Thank God for the dot com era hey Rob? But as towards the end of his presidency, after the dot com era, we were headed for a recession. The spending spree will work for a while, then taxes will be raised huge to pay for it. You have a kid, when the time comes, explain why he will be paying out the ass for taxes due to a bill that was created 20 years before his time.
It's cyclical. Obama will heal the economy, but will go overboard with the social programs. Poor ppl will get rich - and move from being dems to being republicans. Obama will rule until 2016, then a republican will win, and run thigns for 8 years.
And, in those 8 years, social programs will be cut, war machine will ramp up (defense spending like Bush did), and tax cuts fo corporations will be back.
And, in 8 years, the middle class will have shrunk enough so that the 'swing' voters are poor again - making them Dem voters.
it's a cyclical system we have. Both sides go 'too far' to their side. Repubs would let the top 5% have it all, and the dems would let the bottom 80% have it all. They're both F'ed in the head. You're making 300k, joe, so you are a republican. If you had made $24k in 2007, Joe, would you still be a repub voter?

who knows...
