Yea, i kinda figured that is what he is. I am trying to find out what happened to Earnest Shazor, he was a hell of Linebacker/Strong Safety.

It's weird how often guys don't work out.  It's all mental...they all have skills.

He took us to the rose Bowl in 04' and was supposed to be the first safety taken in the draft but got drafted by the Cards and never showed up. Earnest left school early and has disaperred.

First, I would like to say that I told you so.

Oh please, take a break from the usual statement of the obvious & back-patting. It was kinda obvious to everyone; I forgot, he's an official rep of the Patriots lol. The real question was compensation. "Body" now officially a spokesman for the Patriots, apparently. ::)

Quote
Cassel would not have been traded if Brady was not thought to be fine.  Also, Bradys backup was drafted last year in the third round ( the highest the pats have ever taken a QB under Bill).  Secondly, Mike Vrabel was traded for a third round draft choice.  He is 36 years old and playing on the back nine of his career.  Thats the favor KC did for NE.  Third, Cassel was a UFDA who could have walked either way.  They just got the 34th pick in the draft for a sixth round ufda.  They now have the 23rd, 34th, 46th, 40th, 66th, 70th and all their day two picks in a great defensive draft.  There was a third team involved in this so the deal is not done yet.

You dont always have to get every scrap of money to make something a good deal.  Of course Bill did Pioli a slight favor, this is a win - win for everyone.  And I bet KC does the pats a favor in the draft.  I bet the pats go after Peppers.

Also, the pats might have wanted to send Cassel to a good situation, so they took a good deal to reward the kid for being such a stand up guy...instead of holding out for every scrap they could get and having the situation backfire on them.

One of many opinions. Not entirely convincing.

I hope so.  They cut Jordan, so Taylor seems to be a rotation guy who can carry the load a bit.

I guess Brady must be on track to start the season.

Who is Cassel going to throw the ball to in KC?

G-men going after Micheal Boley from the Falcons.4 year starter only 26.got benched last year for being to aggressive in a read and react defense.

typical Reese.not looking for the big contract big splash player.looking for a solid player while he builds through the draft.
...boring but effective.

Really starting to like this move.frees up where the G-men can go with the draft a little bit.suppose to be bringing in Canty from the cowgirls tomorrow to interview.

no chance, teams do what is best for them

they don't do favors for "nice guys" that started for one year

I think they will go WR plus they need some safety help they only have 2 on the roster.they might move the kid they drafted from USC{Terrel Thomas}last year to safety.

Is this a serious question? The Ravens nearly every year have a solid draft and offseason free agency. Their scouting and personnel department are easily one of the best in the NFL. Ozzie Newsome is a terrific GM. Other than Kyle Boller, how many noteworthy bad draft picks have the Ravens had in their 13 year existence? Ogden, Ray Lewis, Jamal Lewis, Chris Mcallister, Duane Starks, Peter Boulware, Ed Reed, Bart Scott, Terrell Suggs, Joe Flacco, etc. The list goes on. Were any of these guys free agents? NO. Not to mention that the majority of those players contributed to a Super Bowl title. And no, none of those players were drafted by the Browns(before you start with that horse shit).

If you want to point out letting James Harrison get away, then that's a weak argument because no one knew how good he was going to be that early in his career. Wasn't he defensive player of the year at age 30? Talk about a late bloomer. Derek Anderson? 6th round draft choice that the Ravens WANTED to keep but had to clear waivers first because of the league's mandate for a 55 player NFL roster.

Oh, and another thing..if you need further evidence that the Ravens know how to scout talent, even from a coaching point of view.....Look no further than the Ravens decision to hire a SECONDARY coach from the Eagles as their new head coach. All he did was take a team picked to finish next to LAST in their division, take them to the AFC title game, and give the eventual SuperBowl champion Steelers all they could handle for three games tightly contested games.

I know I just melted down but.........Any other questions?

What about it? I can name more prominent franchises like the Cowboys and Denver, who haven't won a playoff game in years. The Ravens made up for lost time in hurry with their outstanding playoff run this season.

What about going 25 seasons without a Superbowl win, Earl? You keep up this "6 time, 6 time, 6 time," mantra like the Steelers are the team of the decade or something. two out of four is awesome but the first four titles took place shortly after you were sucking from your momma's titty.
