As already explained...it requires DIFFERENT work ethic....we dont train for things we have no use of for our sport, just as other athletes dont focus on things that dont come into play for theirs.....linemen in the NFL dont work on catching passes, or running plays as a running back....

Flex Wheeler wasn't trying to crack the top 10 of any other sport....
what about bodybuilder wrestlers?

You have more guts than king Kamali....Great maybe you could be a Pro ....Of course you just don't want to.... ::)

No you stupid ignorant "person". I talked about the effort put up in the gym. And that's exactly my point, to be a pro it requires genetics and a helluva lot of drugs. Training is secondary.

I never said that. I only talked about the willpower and dedication and how a lack of it can still take you to the top of the bodybuilding elite. Are you slow?

Exactly, how hard you train is irrelevant.

It's irrelevant how much bodybuilders work out or struggle in order to compete, bodybuilding is still about beauty pageants and bodybuilders are not athletes.

I haven't gone to any bodybuilding "shows", but I have been to sporting events, usually held in stadiums, not auditoriums.

you have zero posts on the sports forum

the only sport you care about is bodybuilding

Oh brother, do I have to rehash this a million times? There is no athletic skill involved in bodybuilding.

Why won't you listen to what our dear friend Wikipedia has to say:

"A beauty contest, or beauty pageant, is a competition based mainly, though not always entirely, on the physical beauty of its contestants, and often incorporating personality, talent demonstration, and question responses as judged criteria. Almost invariably, competitions for men and women are separate events, and those for men are not referred to as beauty contests. Beauty contests for women are more common, and winners are called beauty queens. Beauty contests for men, like Mr. Universe, are more likely to be "body building" contests—quite unlike the traditional "beauty contest" in which women are judged upon many attributes both physical and otherwise. However, in the 1990s, male "beauty contests" began to shift focus. Instead of only considering muscle mass, the competitions began to judge the natural physical attributes of the contestants as well as their physiques. These include Mr. World and Manhunt International."

May not be the best possible source, but it gives a VERY good idea what the general definition is.

Your a freaking moron.

Most healthy educated people i know perform cardio daily and make it to the gym daily. They also look after their diet daily year in year out, obviously not to the extent bodybuilders do. However, the only thing that stops these people from attempting to becoming bodybuilders is: 1. They are sane and realise what a fringe disgusting thing bodybuilding is. 2. They do not want to mess with their health to become a big bloated disgusting mess.

Nearly every woman in America tries to diet at one time or another and a lot can stick to diets religiously. Madonna trains everyday often over 4 hours a day doing a variety of different training exercises and she has a stricter diet than most bodybuilders have ever seen. Is she to be considered an athlete for the way she looks?

You guys are pathetic, bodybuilding is a beauty pageant with drugs thrown in period. Most people in this world view it as a homosexual disgusting drug fueled sport. I say sport but obviously this is no sport as the winner is awarded victory based on looks. Pathetic some of you guys don't realise this.

Quoted for pure 100% fucking truth that a lot of people on here can't seem to handle, all these pro bb'ers have this fantasy stuck in their head that everybody who trains and lifts weights worships them and wants to look like them.  I want to let you in on a little secret... WE DON'T , I want to look good, be healthy and have some nice muscle/size , I don't wan to be a bloated , lazy sack of shit with a  45" gh gut competing for $5 plastic trophy.

Because most of us, believe it or not, enjoy working out and building muscles. And through this forum (a great community BTW) we've found out that bodybuilding is on the verge of being a circus joke and it's quite humorous and entertaining. Therefore we stick around, having fun. Laughing, crying in laughter sometimes.

You're not exactly contributing much yourself there, "Shawdow".

And most threads on training usually arise on the g&o anyway.
