If Obama re-enlisted the draft and sent you to Iraq or Afganistan with a 50/50 chance of living. Would you go knowing you had a good chance of dying for your country?

the draft is the worst thing ever invented. The draft was created for young boys to go off and die in a war started by people too old to be drafted. You are forced to go, and theres severe punishment if you leave, sounds a bit like involuntary servitude to me, which if i recall, the 13th admendment prohibits.

While I prefer an all-volunteer military, the Supreme Court ruled that the draft does not violate the 13th Amendment:
