THe person with the virus becomes a carrier though...meaning they won't get tthe full blown disease and will live a normal full life, but if they engage in unprotected sex with someone, the person can become infected. History shows that despite nature or man there are always people who will be immune from whatever the latest pandemic, outbreak or scourge is that over take a country or the planet. These individuals essentially hold the key to the survival of many, by finding out how their immune system keeps the virus in check...or destroys it all together....

You only have to worry if you're young and healthy... You know how the flu usually only targets the very young and old for death, exactly the opposite for this new one! WTF???

I'll merge this with the other thread in a bit but I wanted everyone to see this incase they thought they didn't have to care because they're young and healthy. Apparently the more healthy you are, the more this attacks you. "Ironically, it is the good health of this young adult population which causes the fatalities" It "triggers a severe immune response which leads to excessive edema. This in turn ruptures the cell walls leading to hemorrhagic symptoms. Patients bleed out into their lungs and drown." So the more effective your immune response is, the worse for you.

Also a second WTF for me is why this was only carried by Rueters and in all the other stories I've seen they've had their usual warning about the very young and old needing to worry the most???

HOW IS THIS GOING TO EFFECT THE ECONOMY?

7 confirmed cases in Canada, (4 in BC, 3 in Nova Scotia) Supposedly Tamiflu is having an effect. $:-\$

LOL, here's what Canada also said: "Health authorities said they were ready to address the potential spread of the swine flu outbreak and had a stockpile of 50 million vaccine doses, which would be sufficient to serve Canada's population of 33 million people."

I think they just showed their, "we'll tell you whatever to avoid a panic" hand. There is no vaccine for this and Canada certainly does not have 50 million vaccines, they don't have one publically available vaccine for this.

yea I remember, just noting that it's obvious you might not get the truth. Just like here, I've heard several reports that the very young, old and sick are the prime people who need worry when it's exactly the opposite in the cases so far.

The world is due for another epidemic of some type of flu, if you guys study how the flu viruses come about and change you would realize that its been a long time since a global widespread pandemic of flu. Its odds really and we havent had a real bad form of flu that is transferable to humans for sometime.

Maybe I should e-mail him my articles showing this virus is made from good ole america sources like american pigs, american human genes and some european pig genes. But from the post that I stickied, it's a quick immune response that makes it deadly. I don't quite understand why that is beyond what I quoted but lol at Michael Savage, he might be giving advice that's good for the common cold, but will aid in the type of response that hurts with this.

I did read something about cinnamon, something about workers in cinnamon factories not being effected by the Spanish flu. maybe that's worth researching if this thing goes pandemic and starts killing like crazy.

I'm starting to think this might be just another bullshit scare to get everyone to take their flu shots. I guess this has been going for a while in Mexico so I have to ask, are the number of deaths anything unusual for the flu? The age group affected is for sure, it's opposite the normal flu killing younger people. No telling how many have been infected in Mexico and gotten over it so the number might not be as bad as they're making it sound. I know they love to scare the shit out of people to get everyone lining up for flu shots. My favorite laughable tactic they've used is to announce they're running out of flu shots and they might not have any left after this week, then next week they say we have more so come on down and then next week they say we're running out again, if you don't come down today, you're fucked lol...

jusr different forms of flu the 1918 epidemic targeted younger ppl as well...I gotta agree on the flu shots though i dont think ive had one in years and havent gotten the flu knock on wood but it seemed that everytime i got one before i sure enough got the flu.
