hey, bro!  i know you're getting bombarded with suggestions and advice from all different directions.  it just goes to show that you are well-liked on this board.  i hope all the advice doesn't overwhelm you and that you're still using your buddy larry to discern what's legit advice or not.  that being said, i remembered something else that the guy who i trained under had me do.  no matter what bodypart i was training, immediately after i would finish a set, i would squeeze the muscle for 10-20 seconds.  this would give me amazing pumps and keep the bloodflow in that muscle group.  it burned like crap, but it made posing so much easier.  he would also make us hold our poses for a long period too, like up to a minute or more.  any of the guys that trained under this dude never got winded on stage when we posed.

id like to share an e-mail with you guys that Larry sent me.....

Hey Mike,
Hope your feeling better. Its time to go. Low-carb tomorrow &
Thursday. Not 1 gram over 50, those days. Do Saturday too. Rest of the week,
carbs 100 max.Make sure your protein is up , no more of the 120g ones you
were taken. All meals have to be 50-65g of protein, no exceptions! Also, I
do not want you to rely on Protein Shakes at work . Have at least 1 meal
either chicken or egg-whites minimum. Pack them in tupperwear, I use to
carry 3 meals to work every-night. I know you have to work, but remember for
the next 12 weeks or so has to be about you first. And feeding the machine
(you) comes first.March 1, cardio twice a day everyday. Mornings, 30
minutes, minimum! Evenings, 25 minimum, 7 days a week, NO exceptions.Also ,
do not go over 4 hours between meals. You can eat every 3 1/2, but do not go
over 4. I do not care if you are training someone, if its meal time you
better be feeding your face.Your log book needs to be 100% accurate. Not ,"I
ate around 4 or so & had 2 chicken breasts & some rice". I want it like
this, " 4pm 2-8oz chix breast, protein carb fat ratio, 1/4 cup cooked rice
pro, carb & fat ratios. 8pm same, 12am ect.No gray areas. I need to see pixs
once a week. Full-body-front, sides & back.Hopefully in the next couple of
weeks ,we can meet. You prob. won't like me too much at that point, but
that'll be ok.In 3wks or so there's a BB contest in or around Riveria Beach,
we I get the details ,I'll send them to you. A friend I'm helping get ready,
is doing it, try and come & it will charge you up & really motivate you
too.Have your logbook w/you so I can go over it, & have it accurate! You've
got to stay "Lock-ed On" w/everything. Lastly, pound the distilled water &
Crystal-Light Peach Tea, try to get the 3 gallons.Trust me, you can & it
works.Alright, I'll be back later w/more. Time to get focused, Locked-On.
Time for you to find out how tough you really are. Time to shut these boys
up & show them who's got the grapefruits. It time to win this show Big Mike!

Mike, it IS hard to train for a bodybuilding show.  That's why not too many people do it, and if they do, very few have the fortitude to go balls out like Larry is wanting you to.  But if you follow it to the letter, you are going to surprise yourself.  Years from now, you'll be able to say that you put everything you had into this, and you'll have the pics to prove it.  If you've ever seen a marathon, there's always a crowd screaming and cheering on even the person who finishes dead last.  Why?  Because they just ran 26 freakin' miles!!!!  Same goes for people who train for bodybuilding shows.  You feel like crap, but you just keep going on.  And those who understand will applaud your efforts.

LOL!  I bet you kinda got a lump in your throat and were like "oh, sh*t" when you read Larry's email, huh?  But at the same time, deep down inside, there's a part of you that's jacked to the gills right now.  You Can Do This, Mike!

He is following Larry's advice to the letter.  I am very proud of him.  He definitely has learned more respect for both the sport and those who compete.  This is a tough road for him, but he is dedicated and committed to it.  Hell, just seeing him get up this morning at 6:00 am to go do his cardio this morning gave me just that more respect for what he is doing and shows me he is in it for all it's worth.  I am truly glad he has taken this route.
I love you Michael Arvilla!!!

We use "Botan" rice. We make a full rice cooker full each morning. It's 35grms per 1/4 cup, 35x4=140grms. When I read your quote I questioned myself and checked.
so uncooked rice right.

who deleted my post? i'll post it again!
Mike said "I think I look like shit"

I said to just keep lowering his body fat. there's 12 weeks for the show right? Even if he doesn't turn out to be in shape for the show. get his bodyfat down and do a different one. Then I said something along the lines of him obviously going for mass for a very long time and without cutting up it's not bodybuilding.
