ironically, Ronnie's tris probably looked better in the arms clasped mm (kevin's signature shot) than Kevin's did.

As many of you already have mentioned - the existence of this thread is an insult to the best bodybuilder ever competed.

Kai G. is a very talented and gifted bodybuilder but to have the nerves to compare him to someone like Kai = "death penalty"

Ronnie is a legend, a myth and a God.

I don't even consider this phenomenon being human.
Of course he had his flaws but the sad part is - we will never see someone like Ronnie again.
I consider myself lucky to even had the chance to follow his career when he was competing.

(My idol is Kevin Levrone but sometimes you have to be true to yourself. So I am not a "Ronnie-guy". I just state facts.)

When Levrone posed to Staind - "So far away" in 2003...I knew it was his last show, his eyes couldn't lie.
After that I were waiting for Ronnie to break the record but.. fucck!

Levrone's best chance to win the O was 02 because Ronnie was way off. That was the first Mr. O show I have ever attended and it was a great show. Before each competitor came out they showed the BFTO footage on a big screen. Ronnie looked absolutely insane in the BFTO footage 2 weeks out and the crowd was going nuts in anticipation. Unfortunately he was much smaller and less conditioned on the day of the show and looked nothing like the video (in 2003 he brought that freaky size to the show).

Kevin looked unreal, although his legs weren't at their best and that probably kept him from winning as Ronnie's legs were still crazy. Nonetheless I didn't think Ronnie deserved it that year.

03 was arguably Ronnie's most dominant Mr. O showing. After Gunter's 02 success, everyone thought he had a chance to de-throne Ronnie. As your pic shows, Ronnie was untouchable that year and he truly shut everyone up. I also attended the 03 Mr. O and Ronnie's waist - despite looking large in certain pics - looked small because of the mass he carried on his chest, shoulders, and back.

I agree that Ronnie shouldn't have won in 02. In 03, however, he raised the bar to a new level. Look at how huge his quads are compared to Jay's.

Btw....if Jay could duplicate this look the 2009 Mr. O is his. He looked awesome in 03!

In order to stick to the original thread and include Kai in the discussion, I don't think Kai could beat Jay in this form.

For instance, despite Ronnie's dominance in 03, he looked much better at a lighter weight, e.g. 98/99/01(AC). Even at his lighter weights Ronnie had a distention problem when he was relaxed. There are pics of him relaxed at the 01 AC - most say his best showing - and his stomach is just as distented.

Here is a good comparison of Kevin and Ronnie's tris. Notice Ronnie's stomach compared to Kevin's as well....

Out of the pics from 2000 the riceps is the only hint of weakness and he's still holding off Kevin who is all triceps and delts. Everything else: chest,back,quads, HAMS, biceps Ronnie ass-raping everyone on stage. He even has the appearance of more shoulder size and equal tris. No contest that time around. Then there's the lines in the ass which judges love......

Ronnie 2002 was pretty whack, he wa visibly small and depleted. His back was still insane, but his front was not. So I would maybe kive that one to Kevin. But Kevin scuppered his own chances by only training for like 12 weeks and forgetting to bring any wheels!
