wow so an average of 40 working sets in 2 days= probably decent built

if one averages 65-75 sets in 2 days even with  mere medium weight on barbell 200 pounds over that many sets then that man would have a near elite build

i no longer count sets or reps. Reps fall anywhere from 2-25.

right now i think my diet is off and or i need more calories. im heavier but the calories just seem to keep my weight up but not much energy. im thinking i need even more calories

thats just silly, you can NOT guage percisely how many pounds lifted over sets on average you are doing weekly  ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

also silly to think that doing less then 30 sets in a 2 day span means you arent hungry or arent going to make progress ::)

back and shoulders two days i have 21 worksets probably about 26 or so if you add warm ups...

a cool way to find your average is simply find out your average weight first or mean weight multiply that by 24 hours= total pounds sustained per hour so a 200 pound man would have sustaind 4800 pounds all day without even working out

180 pound man= 4320 over 24 hours
a 150 pound man over 24 hours is 3600 pounds

then you would simply factor in workout poundages and sets for the ultimate scribe you can redeem for falcon hoe privelages

who cares? I'm getting in better shape each day. Eating very clean, working hard, and making progress. Who cares about figuring up "how many pounds lifted over sets on average i am doing weekly"?

well bear in mind your statement would be true if you only did 2 sets at 3000 pounds per set  ;D Also keep in mind for hypothetical reasons that you dont make progress only "maintaining" if you are doing 8 sets or less  ;D  lets try to stay focused now this is about what is the best routine, this is about WHO IS ABLE TO DO OVER 15 SETS A DAY OR AVERAGE OVER 30 IN TWO DAYS :o ;D ;D
 
im thinking more on the line of a good 'average' weight lifted per set. lets say "a real man" workout is only barbell stuff and lets say the weight is 200 pounds no matter what

because at the rate your all of a sudden thinkin that you are making progress you wouldve been in shape last week doing a routine 79 percent less effective than you are now  ::) ;D ::) ;D

good point...
 why would you biologically hold onto muscle that is not needed as not as much tension

I guess I fall above that range. I go with between 18-22 on back, chest, legs....12-15 on triceps, biceps, shoulders...calves, traps, etc. fall below that.

A fair amount of warm up sets and I'd say 12 to 15 good working sets on average.

Generally around 45 seconds in between sets.
