Maybe your training changed in some way? Gained confidence in yourself from that overeating?
Just fuck calories. Your body tells you when it needs nutrients. Eat when you are hungry.

You don't gain size, unless you consume more calories than you burn, pure and simple. And you don't get stronger unless your body recuperates from training. That's basic stuff.
The calories and protein I mentioned earlier is what it took to get me over 200 lbs years ago. In fact, I actually exceeded my goal. I simply wanted to hit 200 (from 189). I ended up at 210.
As I've said before, Ronnie Coleman's infamous saying, regarding lifting weights, can equally be applied to diet and nutrition.
