Im with you. I was obsessed with WWF - When i was about 11 ('92) i knew every champion in order for all the titles, i knew the listed stats of every wrestler, all the PPV results etc. WCW wasnt as strong to me but i still loved it, it would come on at about 1.30am or so and to a kid that was murder! If i slept my mum recorded it for me, i loved seeing Steamboat / Flair, Sting / Vader etc. One of my fave tag teams were Bagwell & Scorpio & their battles with the Hollywood Blondes. One of the first WCW angles that really gripped me was when Austin lost his TV title to Windham.
I also loved it when they had the draw in the hat for the title challenge against Vader after Sting got injured, with Simmons winning. JR's commentary rings in my ears, "HE CAUGHT HIM IN A POWERSLAM, SIMMONS CAUGHT HIM IN A POWERSLAM! ITS OVER, HES WON THE WORLD TITLE, SIMMONS HAS WON THE WORLD TITLE!"
There was a guy at ringside going absolutely apeshit, bouncing up and down in tears! Someone find the clip plzzzzz
