Hurling/lacrosse is a kick ass sport. I like that european version. Very cool! But why make the goals so big?

Americans are fucking stuck in their rut of baseball, basketball and football. Football isn't even that exciting to watch in my opinion. American mindsent when it comes to athletics is stifled by old time tradition and norms moreso than excitement and athletics. baseball is not a very "athletic" sport. A lot of the old timers were out of shape alcoholics.

Muscle mcmanus thats Gaelic football - nets look huge but goals are not that easy to come by. Incredibly entertaining to watch and play. Hurling is crazy - 15 a side with huge long ash sticks (i thinkits ash) swing wildly.

The pitch is enormous - between 130 and 145m long and between 80 and 90 m wide!

You get 3 points for between teh posts and under the bar -1 point for between posts over the bar.

Each year the top GAA players and the AFL (aussies) play in compromised rules - a mish mash of both. Its so entertaining and brutal. Aussies are dirty fecks lol. Here is a compilation. One year they come to us. Next we go to them

You don't just catch up to a sport by throwing money at it. That shows you know nothing about the sport. Soccer players are some of the most highest paid athletes in the world. The English premier leagues are multimillion dollar franchises. It's hardly a third world sport. It's more of a cultural thing. Plus I don't know why Americans are so proud of their sports nowadays, they are all dominated by blacks anyways save for the NHL.

I remember a few years (?) ago India played Pakistan in Toronto, as they couldn't play at home for fear of the usual unrest. Went over really well with all the ex-pats here. Didn't see my buds for days.
