Yes, he is Moosejay. But importantly, what would this man say?

I'm just having some fun with him.  Starting to feel bad about trolling a guy who didn't 'get' All in the Family tho.

I don't know what that guy would say but 4:50 of 'knowWatI'mSayin' is more than I can handle.

BAGHDAD – Iraqi forces assumed formal control of Baghdad and other cities Tuesday after American troops handed over security in urban areas in a defining step toward ending the U.S. combat role in the country. A countdown clock broadcast on Iraqi TV ticked to zero as the midnight deadline passed for U.S. combat troops to finish their pullback to bases outside cities.

a clock to countdown for when these pre-historics throw themselves back to worse than pre-Saddam

My fear is being so close we are just a drop of a hat away from being right back in the cities again.
From what I've seen, that's the way it is out here. Iraqi Forces have had control over the majority of cities in Iraq for a while. The US Troops/Coalition forces pretty much conduct patrols around surrounding areas, continue training the Iraqis(military wise), and if there is an uprising, make sure it doesn't get too far out of hand. For example, we had a sniper from a close city, fire multiple rounds at personnel at our base, and actually struck a serviceman. Due to the shift of power "legally" we couldnt enter that city to find the shooter. We would have had to obtain permission from the Iraqi Forces chain of command to do so. ::)

That might take some time to happen. You hear all the stories about car bombs going off all the time and and whatnot. But believe it or not, there are more "modernized" areas than what the media depicts. Lots of residents grow their "weed", moderately drink, and actually have night clubs too.  8)

I hate to pull a "True Adonis" but stuff like this, is what I've been reading while out here...

Army bans embedded Stripes reporter in Mosul

By William H. McMichael - Staff writer

The Army has barred a reporter for the Stars and Stripes newspaper from covering an Iraqi-based unit operating in the still-violent Mosul region because he “refused to highlight” positive news during an earlier visit, the independent newspaper reported Tuesday. The commander of the 1st Cavalry Division’s 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, Col. Gary Volesky, also complained that reporter Heath Druzin “would not answer questions about stories he was writing.”

Now of course that's not the report in its entirety, but it gives you some idea of what's going on. Unfortunately, "dark news"  gets more attention than positive in this day and age. It's a lot more easier for a journalist to report on, let's say a car bomb because you can receive info on who was involved, when did it happen, how many casualties etc... But if  xxxx Brigade takes out a insurgent strong hold, a journalist will not get the answers they're looking for to produce a full report. Mainly in hopes keeping certain tactics low key.

::) If you want to go that route, then your country host bank accounts to tens of thousands of tax evading personnel world wide. :D
But seriously, you can't pass judgement on an entire country from the acts of a couple dozen dumbf*cks. Yes those individuals committing those acts were COMPLETELY wrong for their actions. Yes they should be punished to the fullest extent of the UCMJ. But let's not categorize a whole country for their acts.

she was behaving just like much of the uncivilized world does to the US and lesser, weaker nations

she was just an exception, however

much more is expected of us, and it should be
