just an observation that most juicers are weak-minded and lazy......I think you're proving my point :-\....It's alright, I like to party too. I just don't understand why someone who is'nt capitalizing on the benefits of gear(aka $$$) would take it. My only drawn conclusion is that they're weak-minded and overall lazy. Prove me wrong BIG GUY!

I guess you haven't read my post "big guy" ?  ::)

I am saying that I lived the "bodybuilding life" for the past 4 years and now that I don't really give a shit and just train for strenght while going out 1-2 night a week and not worring so much about my meals I gain at the same pace as when I am serious about it.

it's not being lazy, it's being logical

no fun, super strict diet = X results.

having fun, no super strict diet = same X results

I was under the impression that you were still going to take gear while slacking off on all other areas of training. My apologies if that's not the case.

of course I will.

you don't get the point at all !!!!!

I don't "slack" on any areas of training.
I train for strenght.

that's not slacking by anymean, it's just not sets of 8 to 10 and hitting the muscles from different angles.
it's more challenging to try and put more weight on the bar IMO

just my opinion but going from an extreme to another (from bodybuilding to powerlifting) isnt still quite the most balanced thing to do... and wont solve the deeper issues behind the whole thing. you re fooling yourself again here, you re still perpetuating the same mistake, it's just the other face of the same coin.

The real good thing to do is to throw that coin (building muscles) awayOR give it less importance in your life (balance its weight in your life) , meaning youll have to find a more  fulfilling /important coin as a healthy substitution, even if this coin might not be as shiny looking.

Dont forget brains have to be trained and can get more muscular, too.

You re too smart to exist just being defined by the way your muscles look or how you work em, and wether you act as a bodybuilder, a fitness fag or a powerlifter, you re doing it wrong; maybe you should try to focus on soemthing else instead.
Modify your whole view about it, just dont switch from one part to another of the same problem over and over.

well I give less importance to it by doing so IMO.

but why "train" in the first place if you don't improve on anything ?
I mean if you play tennis, you will play to eventually get better at it no ?
same with weightlifting

3-4 months ago I started not "giving a shit" about the bodybuilding lifestyle.

I drink 1-2 times a week.
I don't give a shit if I miss a meal here and there.
I only train for strenght, and I think it's much more fun and challenging

and guess what happened to my physique.....

FUCK ALL

I make the same "gains" I would have if I checked all my things religiously like I did before.

so fuck bodybuilding  :D
I feel like I missed a few good years of partying a bit with the friends

say it ain't so ;D

Sooooo, how can you challenge my statement that you'll be just like teh other juiced up, shitty dieting, partying meatheads in the gym? What will set you apart from them?  At least with your past BB lifestyle, the gear and effort was meaningful(competing, perhaps winning $, etc) ...serious question.

I NEVER understood that point.

it's ok to juice to get a plastic trophy, but it's not ok to juice to look good for yourself ?
that's ridiculous

nobody makes money from competing exept for a few good guys, or the guys that are willing to to G4P.

that's the sad truth

It's the law of diminished returns: you train a few times a week, eat reasonably well and don't completely binge-drink your way through the weekend you'll be 80% (guestimate) in as far as progress goes. 6 Meals a day will get you another 8%, strict sleeping schedule another 5% etc etc. You have too sacrifice a lot of fun and flexibility for that last little bit, it's just not worth it IMO.

When people hear I attend the gym for an hour, twice a week, they don't believe me...either I'm lying or I'm doing roids.

I agree.  There's no evidence that a high protein diet gives you better gains than an
average protein diet.

aside from the 100 or so bodybuilders, few hundred pro athletes, the benefits of gear for the millions (supposedly) that use them is to just look good naked.  besides, it's human nature to take the easy route (steroids) to get that sexy physique.  the old douchebags crotch makes fun of that look great would say they benefit greatly from it.
