Haha - not in a million years.

Against the likes of David Henry and Flex Lewis he wouldn't have a cat in hell's chance.

Flex Lewis is 'better' than Frank Zane? I'm still scratching my head over that one.

Flex Lewis is bigger and more shapely at that weight than Frank Zane could ever be. Zane only ever had great conditioning, (which is fine) but this is bodybuilding - no-one wants to see a 180lb physique standing onstage.

If competing in his late 20's/early 30's today, Frank Zane wouldn't even qualify for his pro card.

A 90% David Henry will smoke Zane. Different Eras.............Zane doesn't even look like a "bodybuilder" for today's standards.

You cant even compare , if zane was competing today you can bet he would be carrying more muscle , not a bloated monster more but a good 20 -30 pounds more.

Mass monsters ruined this "sport" Chick..Bodybuilding was formed on The three S's Size , Shape and Symetery..you as athletes rep should be pushing more for this , it would stop alot of the dangerous pratices that are currently in practice, what these guys of today have to do just to get a look in is down right disgusting

Yup  ;) But zane being zane would never lose sight of condition wins , but he would be bigger doing away with the "swimmers build" tag he seems to have gathered..zane with condition and an extra 20-30 pounds would look amazing.

Trust me, they had access to plenty....all real, and a time when no one gave a shit.  Zane was never one of the bigger guys, and wouldnt have been with todays stuff.  There is a reason he was nicknamed the Chemist

there is contention as to why he was named 'Chemist'

1) he was VG with useage of vitamins/nutrients

2) he was nonpareil at using aas

and yes
the stuff was real, noone cared

he may not have been biggest of bb's today, but bigger than 185-190 at which he won his O's
