How much can you deadlift double overhanded?
« on: October 01, 2009, 02:13:14 PM »
Without hook grip of course. I did 150 kg/330 lbs. The start is the hardest where you have to get the bar moving, once it's up there it's fairly easy to hold. I accept rack pulls also.  :)

I googled images since I couldn't get a straight answer. ::)

And I've never tried that grip, but it would seem you should be able to get just as much weight, what's the problem?

I just dont like it, haha. Feels like my thumbs are going to tear off! Switch grip is just fine for me on anything over 405.

You have an elite grip.

So IMO 550 is fcuking insane. LOL.

Nice to see that masturbation grip training is running strong on Getbig's Powerlifting board. 8)

Usually after 350 I have to switch to opposed grip unless I am doing partial rack pulls.  I don't think its a question of grip for me it just seems to be unnatural to move the weight in that way when I start to get heavy.
