yep - you repeated my answer

the state has a process for making regulations and I have no problem with this law

you don't even live in CA so why should I even bother discussing it with you?

Yet, the govt prosposes any regulation having anything to do with abortion and you liberals have a fit.

Go figure.

of course it's our business (the citizens of the state)

just like it's our business who ows the cars on our roads, etc...

No it isn't your business of what I buy or how much.  How in the world do you propose that is your business?  How does my buying ammo for defense and recreation have ANY effect on you?  It is not your right to track me in any way, shape, or form.  This isn't unlike the DNA database that Hugo posts on.  It isn't any of your damn business.

Where's that head in the sand picture?

You also didn't answer Tony's question.

don't we already have regulations on abortion?

wtf do those two things even have in common?

just the fact that something like this bothers you tells me it's probably a good thing

Because it is of no use, the bloods and crips aren't going down to the local gander moutain to stock up on guns and ammo. How exactly is going to reduce crime, or lead to arrests if criminals get their guns and ammo via illegal channels? All it does is infringe upon the privacy of law abiding citizen.

Why?  Does the 2nd Amnd. require service in the military to own a firearm?

no, but it seems a logical fit for people who are so passionate about those things especially when their country is at war

ok - I see where you're coming from

just give up and do nothing

I don't buy the privacy argument.

why should the government know what car I drive?

Criminals most likely steal their cars anyway so all it does is infringe on my right to privacy

1.  What does self defense against criminals and exercising a constitutional right have to do with military service?

2.  What about people to old or infirm to serve?

3.  What about people who maybe already served?

4.  What about people who are self employed and have familes and cant serve?

I'd be fine with that as long as we're talking about a state law

you'll do the same too right.

please remind me when we're discussing a law in your state and I'm be happy to stay out of it

I trust we'll hear nothing more from you on this thread

How do you think this is going to help the public safety which is what you imply by having no problem with the law.  It is way too much government control.

How about actually going after the criminals, and maybe executing a bitch from time to time. Laws only apply to those that follow them.

Actually what kind of car you drive is none of the states buisness, but they gotta stick you for some cash for your license plates, so in the process they find out what kind of car you drive

DMV programs and fees are nothing more than revenue production.

Exactly.  in NYS that just doubled the DMV fees to cover the budget deficit.

Yep, an individual has no right to privacy.  You're right.  The state shouldn't know what car you drive nor should it be public info.  As was stated before it's just more government control and revenue earner.  Nothing else.

From what I can tell, there is abolsutely nothing that the govt could do that Straw would find objectionable.
