Roy Jones junior just got knocked out down under by Danny Green two minutes into the first round. I know its a bodybuilding forum,so i wont go on about it, temple shot, got up but didnt recover and couldnt throw any punches back.

I thought the ref could have left it go on a bit longer. Jones still had his guard up. I think it is time for him to retire......

Just got back from watching it at my mates place. Danny Green is a great boxer. The fight was basically over when it was stopped. Danny probably would be better known if he had won that first fight against Marcus Bayer instead of getting DQ for headbutting (which was a fair call IMO)

I thought Roy Jones had retired - I had no idea he had beaten Jeff Lacy less than three months ago before this fight.

I remember driving home from AC over Columbus day weekend and seeing billboards advertising the fight on I 95. Not sure if this fight happened already, but this can't be good for the hype.

I seen it too, it was a weird looking shot from the angle...like it was in the back of his head...jones fell down weird too...like cro-cop did when his leg was under him lol ..

You gotta watch the high resolution video on foxsports.com.au. He clearly hit him on the temple, than a barage of hits. Calling a fix is ridiculous. Jones had everything to lose and nothing to gain.

Jones had been knocked out, or KO'ed (can't remember which), twice before. Never though him all that. Was to fight Hopkins after this "tune-up" fight with Green. The party's over, turn out the lights, for Jones.

With Jones' style, fight at 40+ is tough. Unless your a big puncher with a hard chin and hadn't relied on speed/agility your whole career (like a Foreman or Moore), 40 is a great time to become a coach.

slow mo showed the punch was real, flush on the right temple...

green can't fight but he can sure hit.

No people who follow boxing rated Lacy ever, even before Calzagie , hes one dimensional with one hand and only one punch the left hook.

that fight was the biggest fix i have ever seen. how does roy jones in his last match talk while moving his head and not look at his opponent to getting fuked up by a nobody aussie boxer.

roy jones should quit boxing if he is going to take dives like that

its funny how green lost to mundine and mundine fights like a shittier version of jones.

He's not a nobody, he knocked down the German world champ IN Germany in both the 1st and 2nd rounds, then got DQ'd for headbutting (fair call but doesn't take away his ability as a fighter). That decision hurt him badly. He is a very good fighter just because he's on the other end of the earth and you haven't heard much of him doesn't mean he's nothing.

Mundine put off the fight for years then only did it at a lighter weight class. Green was too weak in that fight because of it. Mundine just fights bums. He only fights for $$$ he doesn't get respect here in OZ. He picks his fights well because he knows he's not that great. Look at his last fight, only won because he fixed the judges, got his title stripped because of it and no there's a rematch......
