Don't start with an empty bar.

Try this........

135X10

225x10

315x5

365x3

405x2

225x15

Don't use straps, use chalk and a belt.

Don't try 455 again until you can get 405x5.

Does everyone else think this is a decent "regime" to perform for this week's deadlift workout?  I need a regime change.  ;D

hey mattc you still keep daddywaddy's cock pic in your hard drive?
get over it kid, your site aint going places.

Build up the rest of your muscles for awhile and come back to it.

Get plenty of rest. Take some time off from the lift.

Get a big-titted big-butted baby doll to work out right next to you when you go for it again. Make sure she is fine in every way. You'll get it. (the lift, that is)

Half the weight and hammer out 112 reps, that's impressive.

chaos's regime will work definitely but you could also look into
wendlers 5/3/1
and
our own stubbron's modified coan DL program, its in the training section of this site.

as someone posted already yourform kind of sucks, not that mine is much better.
so my suggestion would be to work on your form, find your weak spot in the lift and start doing an accessory to assist with that weakness, lift by percentages and in waves.

I have found that the best way to improve deadlift strength is to simply stop doing them for a while. I think that the Deadlift is more dependent on your CNS then probably any other lift.

I remember one time I was pushing myself hard every week to improve my dead... and I came down with a sickness...putting me out of the gym for about two weeks...and after two weeks, I was feeling a little better, (but still not 100%,) and my strength skyrocketed on that movement, while the rest of my lifts went down a bit...

Try cutting out deads for couple of weeks, but keep training hard in other movements, take two days off before maxing out again, and see if that helps...

i deadlift only once every two week.
each time i hit a PR on a set of 5.
when i stale after few month, i just stop deadlift for few week, then start again.

deadlift every week for me = injury pain cns burn out.
