Danielson not training right now.  Been off for almost 2 months,  Was out 5 weeks with pneumonia and hypoxia.  I put that on here awhile back.  Spent some time in the hospital.  So probably not.  Try to be here for the Olympia and we can get a good workout in.  Sorry but just don't look or feel good enough right now.  So go ahead and flame away.  But, I can't help what happens right now.
Honestly hope you get back in shape, that would be awesome to see a dramatic difference.

Just take it one day at a time and think of the overall long term result.  Don`t worry about what anyone thinks of you because chances are, they care more about your well being than how you look.

Do you have any equipment at home that you might be able to use in lieu of the gym?

Quit being nice to me cause I won't be able to mean to you.

If I was like I am today back when I was younger when I really cared what people thought of me I think it would be different.  Before I hit 40 I was going out 3 to 5 nights a week, traveling, meeting girls everywhere and doing things all the time.  i was home hardly ever except to sleep.  I hit 40 when I got hurt.  I gained all the weight and it became something that after awhile I didn't care what people thought anymore so I quit training and just didn't give a shit.  Now at 50 I am thinking that maybe I should get a little more serious about this,  I was back in the gym doing good then I got sick a couple months ago.  So then that stopped all progress.  Well I have babied myself the past two months and will be back int he gym next week.  I am just doing cardio and some minor leg and ab work.  My shoulders, chest and arms and back strength all come back to me very fast.  But now I want to just trim down some and then start lifting.    i hate cardio on machines so I limit it and try to walk more even if it is through the casino.  My blood oxygen is up to 96 from 84 a couple months ago.  So I am okay there and the pneumonia is gone.  So I am okay to start back next week.  One thing though the fucking hospital when they took some blood from my right hand did something cause the next day my hand was so swollen it looked like I had a MMA glove on.  I couldn't bend my fingers for a couple weeks.  That is almost all better now.  i swear if it isn't one thing it is another.

Heck, I am in a very similar boat. Failed marriage, a few kids taken across the country then brought back, alcohol problems, drug issues, rehab, a bad back injury, and a new love for a few large Domino's pizzas have forced me to need to lose 95 pounds while regaining muscle that I lost while my injury was treated.

It is a big mountain to climb, but every day I get a little closer weight wise, and every 3 days I lose a pound or more, sometimes 3-5 in a week unpredictably.

Of course I just count calories, eat what I want, and use 4 weight workouts a week and when strength stops I deload and start over.

The point is that I was like that, ashamed to go out in public, so I know how it feels. I have lost 29 pounds of that 95 since mid February, the day before Valentines. Everything looks better, and I was finally green lighted to train again a few weeks ago. Muscle seems to be coming back really fast, and everything looks like it is going to be great for the first time in a long time.

I hope Keith ends up happy and healthy. In the end that is all we should want.

I agree, drinking is a cancer to those like me who can not handle it. Plus it causes all sorts of nasty effects if you are training.

However, I still maintain that one could do it on a Friday if that doesn't lead to like a 2 week binge like in my case, count their calories consumed, and still be fine even on the most strict diet:)

I quit for good about a year ago because I was out of control with it. It can get ugly if you let it. It cost me 10 months in jail Sucked my motivation out of life. It's so much better without it at all. If oyu know you can't handle it you shouldn't. But who am I to give life advice. I'm just an internet asshole  ???

Hey, I promise you won`t hear a negative word about you from me.  I don`t wish to treat you in that manner.

You know how to train for strength and muscle so at least there is no confusion there nor will there ever be.  How is your diet, specifically caloric amount?

I don`t know if you remember Migizi who used to post here, but I helped him lose well over 100 lbs and he did it with relative ease.  I don`t expect you to ever lo listen to me, but know that I am willing to help if you ever need it in regards to losing weight painlessly and effortlessly.

These people can hurl whatever they like my way or your way for that matter, but they cannot argue or dispute results.

You are 50 which is certainly not too old to get back to an impressive look and of course optimal health.  Getbig actually is a great resource when and if you need it.  I am not the only one who will provide help or encouragement, thats for sure.

Why would a big bloke like Keith want to be visited by a schmoe like Danielson? Look at Danielson's avatar. The guy is a certified asshole. Keith sees right through dickheads like him and won't be a patsy for the Flotsam on Getbig.

Well, the drinking thing was ruining my life. I would not say I am an alcoholic per say, I have other issues that I was self medicating with more or less. I started drinking heavily in the last year of marriage, when life was unbearable. Then it continued. I just woke up and got obsessed with getting back into top shape.

She met me at 10% bf, I was really into calorie counting and eating healthy, yet she never liked that, wanted me 'thicker'. So I gave up, ate too many calories, and got really fat. I was also using anxiety medicine (Paxil) and that really helped to fatten me up.

I was 260 and looking pretty good for my height (6'1), but nothing like a bodybuilder or anything. 2 years prior, I was 225 at 8% bodyfat. I looked real lean, pretty good, but nothing like what Arnold looked like around the same height. I am pretty big boned, so it wasn't as much muscle vs frame.

Anyway, a year later (Jan 10') I was 344, and so fat I could not stand myself. That made me limit alcohol to practically nothing and begin counting calories again. I have been counting calories and am down to 315 since Feb 14. I have since been able to train again, so I started taking creatine, so who knows the total weight or whatever. I am just gunning 250, and then I will reassess.

I am hoping to reach 270 by august, and with a new training program I hope it looks a lot better with a smaller waist than my 265 weight. I would love to be ripped at 240.

Cool post, TA, but I'd be lying if I said this isn't Getbig's loss ;D

I'm talking about yet another online rivalry that brought tons of quality laughs to the board, being laid to rest - remember back in 2006, with your posts attacking Onlyme and his chops of you? Good times :'(
