i think the whole problem with the calorie is a calorie debate is not if it works- a calorie deficit will produce weight loss- but what kind of 'physique' someone who grazes on junk food eating a total of say 1700 calories will have as compared to the physique of someone consuming an ideal macronutrient ratio of proteins/carbs/fat with enough protein to illicit an anabolic state conducive to hypertrophy eating the same amount of calories as the grazer.

does a calorie deficit produce weight loss? absolutely.

will you have abs, 14 inch arms and look like you spend more time doing pilates than lifting weight? absolutely.

wavelength and anyone else who subscribes to this 'theory'- show me one pic, just one pic of someone who is say a true sub 5- 6% and weighs over say 200 pounds and follows your principles- if it helps you he can be juiced out his ass on  2+g of test a week and GH too... you can't- do you know why- your diet has no anabolic environment. yeah, you'll be lean, and you'll look like a figure skater. congrats on that.

adonis- come on- show us all what the 'adonis principles has built.

You are correct, but for most folks, a lean, hard albiet smaller sized physique is the goal

Yeah, it's the truth that you can lose weight on a calorie controlled diet, something people have known about since the stone age. But for bodybuilding it serves no purpose.

I was talking about my last diet, which was 2009, where I gained muscle mass on the cut.

The diet before (in 2008) was the first where I tried the simple approach and I was still experimenting. Before that I tried just about any method out there.

So they eat some form of protein but aren't sure what the form is.  I guess they figure if they eat partial proteins at different times throughout the day that by the time they go to sleep that they would magically for complete proteins for digestion.

By the way eating a low amount of calories doesn't mean you'd get ripped.  Just look at starving africans with the bloated bellies.

sounds like your confused as to what wavelength's diet is all about. why dont you look it up. he set up requirements that all ESSENTIAL amino acids and fatty acid requirements owuld be met.

that leaves zero room for error.  ;)

sure you can! you could diet on whey protein only. just a few scoops per day is all you would need. oud get ripped in no time!!! id just advise you to eat some vegetables along with it, and also take some fish oil...   the vegetables will help keep your body healthy and balance the PH of the whey... the fish oil to meet essential fatty acid requirements.

What did you do different in 2009 ?

I can't remember anymore why I lost (or thought I lost) muscle mass in 2008. I have to admit that I don't remember that post at all. Maybe my rate of weight loss was too high in the beginning.

But I know I gained strength on my last cut which was very slow. I don't claim that the principles work better than any other BB diet, since any other BB diet follows them anyway.
