Yes it's much as training the body but more difficult to harness the mind, most people never do.

Have you ever been to a meditation retreat? I always wanted to but never have.

No, not yet, since I believe that 3 months of practising is too short for this. In zen they call this a sesshin.
AFAIK, they organise a sesshin every year on an isle. Not sure if I will join, I'm not a group person (prob like most of us Getbiggers, LOL)
