Because the Celtics have Rondo, KG, Pierce, Allen and Sheed...and the cavs have Lebron and....  that's about it.

The Celtics can hurt you multiple ways with multiple players and they play great defense. Take out Lebron and the Cavs showcase average players with no direction.

Jordan WILLED his team to win, no matter who was on it.  The guy was fuckin' intense on the court.  No one nowadays comes close to his passion and intensity for the game. 

Lebron is in it for fame and wealth.  He doesn't will his team to win.  Management goes through the wringer to surround him with the best players they are able to get a hold of....and of course, the blame gets put on management for not winning.  Blame should go to Lebron.

Guys like Carmelo, Lebron, McGrady, and Durant are just scorers.  They'll drop 30+ points per game, but do not have what Jordan had back in the day.

His unstoppable one one one, he can will his team to win, but theres only so much mo williams, varejo, jamison can do..he obviously willed his team to the best record but the playoffs are different, thats where the avg players crumble, im sure mo williams, jamison were thinking "we got lebron, its all good" where they should of been thinking of stopping Rondo and pierce.

Jordan was like nobody else, people forget what it was like to actually watch him on the court.  Jordan played human chess on the court and was several moves ahead of his opponent, always.  He was the most fundamentally sound player during the championship years.  And yes he had a greater will to win that anyone which combined with his superior talent made him the unmatched best ever. 

As for LeBron, lets not forget its very rare to nail someone as a prodigy at as early of an age as happened with Lebron.  And they did nail it with him.  He was on the cover of SI as a junior in high school as 'the chosen one' and was on the radar long before that.  So for all intents and purposes he has lived up to the hype, assuming thats possible seeing as the extent of that hype machine.  Look at player like Kwame Brown and Darko Milicic who were very highly touted but turned out to be complete flops. 

The fact it the NBA is supersaturated with talent and even 2 guys on a team isnt good enough to get the job done anymore.  If the finals is actually Lakers vs. Celts, which is pretty likely, there would be approximately 10 all star level players involved.
