I've always been a volume trainer... Always, and its not like I have a stone set plan in the gym, no...., I go in and lift as much as I can, if I'm done with my routine and I can keep going, I just keep going, doesn't matter how long I've been in there, I leave when my body is SCREEEEAMING and I can't go any further!! 2-3 hours is my norm, but I've gone 4.5 hours once or twice before!  Many will say thats overtraining, but its how I've always done it and its what worked for me.

Lee Haney is famous for saying the line "stimulate don't annihilate" but thats never been me, I always annihilate when I train.  As I said my norm is like 25-30 sets per body part, I won't lie though i also do take some long ass breaks in between sets, but whatever!  Just how I've always done it!

Man... looking back I REMEMBER the day I benched.. or should I say MAXED OUT on 135 lbs, wow back then it felt like soooooooooooo much weight, and I could only do it for one rep with my friend helping me LOL....  I remember the first time I curled 30 lbs dumbells and they felt heavy as shit! That was like back in 8th grade, middle school LOL


Many people tend to follow the rules too much, only eat what... 1 g of protein per pound of bodyweight, don't eat too much or you'll get fat, don't train for more than 45 mins or then you are overtraining, don't go to failure every set, don't rest for more than 1 minute between sets, etc etc....  I say fuck these rules... I'm sorry I had to go to the extreme to really feel an impact, downing as much as 2.5 g of protein per pound of bodyweight, upping my cals as high I can possibly get them, training for 3 hours and training heavy and light, just doing everything I possibly can to grow, and staying consistent.  It was my life, and still is, sure I do shit outside of bodybuilding, and I'm not crazy anal like a lot of people, I still eat out during contest prep and all.... but its always in my head, I am a bodybuilder and this is my lifestyle!

sure we are not the same and what works for someone may not work for the other.. i am sure what you do works great for you.. but for me to stay more than 1 hour in the gym is just very boring!!..

1hr 15minutes for me... 15 for cardio or whatever usually.  Most I ever did was 4.5 hours as well way back in the day, doing marathon type sets rotating from exercise to exercise with no rest for 9 sets before I would stop to drink water and prepare for the next marathon set.  Was stupid but when your young and want to grow you'll try just about anything.

Have you ever tried PITT-Force? If not give it a try, it has worked wonders for many people who've failed with conventional training systems.

Ditto. I take as much as 8 - 10 mins off between sets sometimes, if I'm doing heavy deadlifts or squats. Working out 7 times over 2 weeks (3 times one week and 4 times the next) is what gave me the best results.

With regards to your nattie status, there is a very simple and easy-to-follow rule of thumb - if you are smaller than Sevastase, you're natural (although even then, it is highly possible that you're lying). If you are bigger (i.e your arms are over 11"), then you are a drug abuser, plain and simple ;D
