Translation: The lawyers and accountants tell me that potential liability from client injury as well as risk of lost revenue from prosecution of juice sales makes PT a bad bet for the bottom line. So here's the usual spin saying we're all about our customers and I can't believe people keep buying it.
Have any of you actually had a PT solicit you in the gym for business? I never have....
I could never understand why anyone would pay someone an hourly rate of 3-4 times the gym's monthly rate, especially when most of those people do little more than count reps and speak pious platitudes.I am not opposed to personal training; however, as a PF customer, I believe that personal training is overkill for most PF customers.
yes I have and after a few times, I said dude, you really don't look like a trainer in my opinion please leave me alone and I told the manager that while I'm on the stairmaster that he should'nt be trying to get clients
125.00? I hope that is not for 1 hour sessions
What did he look like along the lines of Pumpster or Goodrum?
young kid and about 60 pounds overweight. The gym I mostly go to has these trainers (outside company) standing around as you walk in. After my chitty chat with the manager they don't bother me but are like vultures with others
Poor guy, has he returned to work yet?
The gym is really becoming a joke, if it wasn't for the $10 membership they would be closing shop as well. They pride themselves on a "judgement free" gym but don't even have a scale in the locker room......
A scale would judge someone as being a fatty....
that's because most people are to fucking afraid to admit they need to loose a few LLBS.
Yes, but we shouldn't "judge" them...
I'm not. I'm speaking from experience is all. I have seen 2 of the same ladies using PT at the gym, if they are trying to maintain their size 16 (I'm guessing) then kudos for them, but haven't seen a difference in a year.
So, there you are on the treadmill "judging" if these 2 fatties have lost weight in the last year...tsk, tsk.....don't let the manager see that....he might lunk alarm you !!!!!
NO it's at the other gym I go to. WTF am I to judge anyone? I just wonder why they keep throwing their money away. If you don't know shit after a year with a trainer, then your dumb, wanna throw your money away, or just DUMB.
Oh settle down....your buttons are too easy to push.....I agree, i don't care if they throw their money away.....much like it's good for me with all the people who join and don't show up....they keep my rates down.
OH go drink a PBR. Yea and soon the New Years Resolutionist will crowd the gym for 2 weeks then back to normal
I am currently drinking High Life...... And I take that 2 weeks as a chance to intimidate them into not coming back the rest of the year......all scowls and stares baby !!!!!
