Well, you could say its because blacks are poor, impoverished, have low esteem that makes them lash out at society. They come from single parent households with poor role models, have poor education levels, and are victims of an unfair judicial system.
Or, they commit more crimes.
What was the prison population comprised of mostly, say before 1963- 1970?
You know that there was a stereotype that black men were yellow and not violent, not dangerous to society as that they were incapable committing harm to society at large, because they were physically more weaker than their counterparts. One of the reasons why they refused to fight black boxers in the early 20th century...it offered no challenge as they were "physically weaker" and posed no challenge...ne of the reasons why it was hard for Jack Johnson to win the heavyweight belt.
Then by the 1960s, When more black men were at the forefront of the civil rights era, they became a threat. Then when there was mass migration to the inner cities of the north, Midwest, and black on black crime, black men then took on the connotation as to being "dangerous"...
Now, what you formerly had stated, probably is far more closer to the truth...and something Jesse and Al need to focus more on, instead of marching and singing "We Shall Overcome", shit gets old, and doesn't do anything other than wear out the soles of one's shoes.
