everyone is biased to some extent toward their own point of view

I actually try hard in my work life to see from other people perspectives as much as I can. It helps in negotiations if you can really understand what motivates someone and if you can try to stand in their shoes so to speak and get their perspective

i try to do this in everyday life as well, its hard with ppl you know but it really does help if you get cut off or some bs like that...

for all you know that person was racing to something important or has just got fired...

I understand what youre talking about, it gives you a better insight in how they may feel and think and therefore a leg up in negotiations...

the more you understand about them the easier it is to find the wiggle room and how much there is.

this guy probably was slipping into craziness for a long time and eventually just snapped

most of his rantings about gold and the constitution sound like tea party rhetoric but we haven't heard of any political motivation for what he did but then we haven't heard anything directly from him about what his motivation was (if any).

from watching that school video I think it could have been just as likely he could have gone on a shooting spree there

I don't see any evidence that this guy had a politcal motivation

just because he used some words or phrases that sound political nothing he said actually makes any sense and I haven't read anything that he's said since the shooting that indicates what his motivation was, if any
