you're a dumbass

first off, i can afford to spend 12k on a 'beater' while you're still driving an $800 (overpriced) turd with horrible reliability ratings.

second, this beater has to withstand the worst roads in baltimore city, be comfortable, reliable, low in miles, and haul my kid around.  i don't need to spend $800 on something that will break down in the middle of the ghetto.

I know someone who just got a 1988 Mecedes 300CE (w124 chassis) coupe. It has 65k miles and was owned by a elderly couple. It looks brand new, the interior is not worn.
And she got it in the Baltimore area. These were the Mercedes that were built like bankvaults. And will last longer than you. There you go.

Old Mercedes, Honda, E46 3 series, Lincoln LS, 2000 Audi A4, Lexus IS300, Lexus ES300, older Lexus LS400 or GS400/300.

Or get a ex police vehicle at a Police Auction, cheap, big, reliable car. Or get a used Crown Vic, Mercury Marquis or Buick, general these cars were owned by older people, so they are well take care of.

Crx is small though, he's got a small baby. My CRX lasted 10 years with 300k miles on it..
