Ric Flair-torn rotator cuff
« on: January 31, 2011, 11:27:04 PM »
Ric Flair tore his rotator cuff in a match against Doug Williams.  When is this guy going to retire?  Can't he just manage and stop wrestling?  I guess it's true:  when you get old you don't know your limitations.

Latest on Flair & TNA...

Ric Flair is not at the TNA iMPACT! taping for tonight, nor is he on the sheets for any tapings for this week.

Some people backstage are wondering whether he’s done with the company after the Ireland incident. It could also be a suspension. We’re not sure yet.

Story developing…. more soon.

I have often wondered why Flair didn't just start his own federation.  He could fill small venues in the south just by showing up.  Hire a few old timers to come and sign autographs, put on some good matches and make some money.

And, yes, he still is, and will always be the man.

Space Mountain is the oldest ride in the park, but it still has the longest line!!

Alice in Wonderland.  1958.  17 years older than Space Mountain.   However, there might be older ones.  I suspect those teacups have been there since the beginning.

Starship Eagle never quite made it as big as Starship Coyote.....  and remember when Laser Tron was teaming with Jimmy Valiant against the New Breed?

Used to love the Boogie Man esp, his Charlie Brown the man from otta town gimmick.  The Ding Dongs, God whoever thought of that tag team shouldn't be in the wrestling business.

You mean Charlie Brown was Valiant?   ;D ;)   the "jail scenes" promos were classic.  Valiant had some GREAT fueds with Kabuki and Ivan Koloff too.  Not a technical guy by any stretch, but had a ton of charisma.

ding dongs =  :-\

I thought they were "ok" before their WWF stint.  When they would just brawl and bleed all over the world..... they just looked like clowns in the WWF.

No idea..... I remember keeping up with them in the mags.  They did a brief stint in the mid-atlantic, but their style was best left to in-person as they didn't bleed on TV in those days.  then off to the WWF to let VKM make them look mildly-retarded..... :-\

I think Flair's rotator cuff injury is an old one put on by his arm wrestling Bad Bad Leroy Brown in Georgia circa 1981.
