Revealed: Chicken shop terrorist's mom AND wife both left the US for the Middle East days before attacks as 'strict Muslim' father claims he had no idea of his son's plot

Ahmad Khan Rahami's father, Mohammad Sr, claims he had no idea about his son's bombing plots

It has also been revealed that Rahami's mom and wife left the country just days before the attacks

The 28-year-old is wanted in connection to three bombings in NYC and New Jersey over the weekend

So far, he has been charged with five counts of attempted murder and two gun charges for a shootout with police as he was arrested on Monday

Pressure cooker bomb was set off Saturday in New York City's Chelsea neighborhood and left 29 people injured

Surveillance footage shows Rahami walking down 23rd Street dragging the bomb in a bag behind him

Fingerprints on a second unexploded bomb found blocks away led police to want to arrest Rahami

Just hours before, a pipe bomb was detonated at a military charity run in Seaside Park, New Jersey

On Sunday, five more pipe bombs were found at the Elizabeth train station and were disarmed by police

FBI officials said Rahami was not on any terror watch list but he had traveled multiple times to Afghanistan

The Rahami family came to the U.S. as asylum seekers in 1995 when Ahmad was seven years old

Ahmad Khan Rahami’s Father Told Police in 2014 His Son Was a Terrorist, Officials Say

Two years before Ahmad Khan Rahami went on a bombing rampage in New York and New Jersey, his father told the police that the son was a terrorist, prompting a review by federal agents, according to two senior law enforcement officials.

Separately on Tuesday, another official said that when Mr. Rahami was captured during a shootout with the police, he was carrying a notebook that contained writings sympathetic to jihadist causes.

In one section of the book, which was pierced by a bullethole and covered in blood, Mr. Rahami wrote of “killing the kuffar,” or unbeliever, according to the official, who agreed to speak about the investigation only on the condition of anonymity.

After Mr. Rahami was captured on Monday morning, ending one of the largest manhunts in the city’s history, investigators have turned their focus to what might have motivated, inspired or led him to plant bombs in the Chelsea section of Manhattan and on the Jersey Shore.

Officials are also looking at whether he had any assistance in building the bombs or if anyone knew what he was doing and failed to report it.

Mall shooting suspect had blog with picture of ISIS leader
Published September 26, 2016
FoxNews.com

The Turkish immigrant accused of gunning down five people at a Washington mall smirked at his first court appearance Monday even as reports revealed he had a blog with photo posts of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.

This late Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016, image from video by KIRO7 photographer Jeff Ritter shows suspected Cascade Mall shooter Arcan Cetin at Skagit County Jail in Mount Vernon, Wash., after his arrest in Oak Harbor, Wash., earlier in the evening. Investigators on Sunday tried to piece together information on the 20-year-old suspect in the deadly Washington state mall shootings who was apprehended after a nearly 24-hour manhunt. Accused shooter Arcan Cetin, smirking slightly and wearing a blue, collared shirt, appeared for his first court appearance late Monday morning. Charged with five counts of premeditated murder, Cetin was held on $2 million bail. He only spoke twice, both times to answer "yes, your honor" to a judge's question.

Authorities said they have not ruled out terrorism as a motive in the shooting at the Cascade Mall in Burlington. Police arrested Cetin on Saturday evening after a nearly day-long manhunt. He was described as being “zombie-like” when he was taken into custody.

Cetin told detectives he was responsible for the mall murders, according to court documents released Monday.

A 20-year-old legal U.S. resident, Cetin appeared to have two blogs on Tumblr that linked to each other, and one of which linked to his Twitter account, according to The Associated Press. Aside from the posts featuring noted Islamists, Cetin’s blogs also featured posts about serial killer Ted Bundy and the Area 51 test site.

Cetin’s alleged rampage lasted about one minute, authorities said. Officials believe he used a rifle that was recovered at the scene before fleeing the mall in a car.

Court records show Cetin had previously faced three charges of assaulting his stepfather, The Seattle Times reported. Cetin also was arrested on drunken driving charges. No details were given on when the arrests took place or how the cases may have been resolved.

In the assault case, Cetin was told by a judge last December that he was not to possess a gun, The Times reported.

The Washington mall shooting comes amid a spate of mall attacks throughout the U.S.

On Sept. 17, a 20-year-old man stabbed 10 people at a Minnesota mall before being shot and killed by an off-duty police officer. Authorities said they are investigating the attack by Dahir Ahmed Adan as a possible act of terrorism. On Monday, nine people were wounded when a man opened fire near a Houston strip mall. Police said the gunman, who was shot and killed by police, was a lawyer who was having problems with his law firm.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Jordanian writer shot dead as he arrives at trial for insulting Islam
The Guardian ^
Posted on 9/26/2016, 1:21:14 PM by marthemaria

A prominent Jordanian writer, who was on trial for sharing a cartoon deemed offensive to Islam, has been shot dead outside a court in Amman where he was due to appear.

Nahed Hattar, 56, was charged with inciting sectarian strife and insulting Islam after posting the cartoon on Facebook this year.

The cartoon, entitled The God of Daesh (Isis), depicted an Isis militant sitting next to two women and asking God to bring him a drink.

Hattar was arrested in August and released on bail early this month. On Sunday, he was shot in the head three times as he arrived for a hearing.

Hattar had insisted that he had not meant to insult Islam by posting the cartoon, but wanted to expose how Isis “envisions God and heaven”. He accused his Islamist opponents of using the cartoon to settle scores with him.

A controversial figure on the left of Jordanian politics, Hattar has faced charges before, including for insulting the country’s king, Abdullah II. He has also been a prominent supporter of the Syrian president, Bashar al-Assad, and advocated depriving Jordanians of Palestinian origin of their legal and civil rights.

Hattar’s murder is the latest in a series of recent violent incidents in Jordan, which until recently had avoided the worst of the jihadi-related violence that has affected some other Middle Eastern states even though several thousand of its citizens have crossed into neighbouring Syria to join Isis.

Pulse Massacre Jihadi’s Wife Arrested on Charges of Aiding Foreign Terror Group
by MICHELLE MOONS
16 Jan 2017

The FBI arrested the wife of Omar Mateen, the jihadi responsible for a massacre at Orlando’s Pulse night club last year, on Monday morning in San Francisco on charges of obstruction of justice and aiding and abetting the attempted provision of material support to a foreign terrorist organization.
Salman will make a court appearance on Tuesday, her lawyer told ABC News. She was indicted in Tampa, Florida and is expected to relocate there to face charges in the case.

Mateen killed 49 people at an Orlando, Florida nightclub on June 12, 2016 and left more than 50 others injured. During the prolonged attack on the Pulse nightclub, Mateen called 9-1-1, pledged allegiance to ISIS and spoke of the Boston Marathon Islamic terrorist bombers. Mateen was eventually shot and killed in a standoff with law enforcement.

After the attack, reports revealed allegations that Mateen attended the Islamic Center Fort Pierce for 13 years or more. Salman had told the Washington Post that her husband “wasn’t very religious.”

A Florida gun shop owner had also alerted the FBI after a suspicious man came in inquiring about body armor, which the owner refused to sell it to him. The FBI had investigated Mateen in the past as a potential terrorist.

Media reports initially put heavy emphasis on reporting that Mateen may have been mentally ill or harbored repressed homosexual tendencies. The FBI found no evidence of the latter, instead finding evidence he may have had a romantic relationship with a woman other than his wife. Authorities eventually released the seventeen pages of 9-1-1 transcripts from Mateen’s phone call on the night of the massacre, which revealed that he ranted about America’s fight against the Islamic State. Breitbart News previously reported on these transcripts and specific motives Mateen spelled out in his 9-1-1 rant.

Iranian bodybuilder jailed for posting revealing photos of herself online

Iran’s social media police have struck again.

The Islamic Republic arrested and jailed a female bodybuilder after she published revealing photos of herself online, Iranian media reported Wednesday.

"One of the female bodybuilders who recently published nude photographs on social networks has been arrested," the Mizanonline news agency reported.

But in Iran, “nude” can refer to women who are not wearing headscarves or showing parts of their arms and legs, according to AFP.

The bodybuilder – who hasn’t been named – was sent to prison because she wasn’t able to post a $50,000 bail.

Her current status is unclear.

Trump Signs Executive Orders to Ban 'Radical Islamic Terrorists' From US
By Todd Beamon   |    Friday, 27 Jan 2017

President Donald Trump Friday signed executive actions that instituted "extreme vetting" procedures "to keep radical Islamic terrorists out of the United States of America."

"We don't want them here," Trump said in the Hall of Heroes at the Pentagon before signing the orders. "We want to ensure that we are not admitting into our country the very threats our soldiers are fighting overseas.

"We only want to admit those into our country who will support our country and love deeply our people.

"We will never forget the lessons of 9/11 nor the heroes who lost their lives at the Pentagon," Trump said. "They were the best of us.

"We will honor them not only with our words, but with our actions — and that's what we're doing today," Trump said.

Trump also met with the Joint Chiefs of Staff and attended a ceremonial swearing-in for Defense Secretary James Mattis by Vice President Mike Pence.

Mattis was officially sworn-in on Monday after he was confirmed by the Senate.

With Friday's actions, Trump has signed six executive orders since his inauguration last Friday.

The others took such steps as beginning the process to repeal Obamacare through budgetary efforts, building a wall along the U.S. border with Mexico, and cutting federal funds to sanctuary cities that refuse to work with the government for immigration control.

He also has signed eight presidential memoranda, which carry less legal weight than the executive actions.

Those, for instance, pulled the United States out of the Trans-Pacific Partnership; instituted a federal hiring freeze; barred federal funds from non-governmental international groups that perform abortions; and authorized the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines.

Trump campaigned on a platform of "extreme vetting" for refugees coming into the United States, initially proposing a ban on all Muslims before retreating and calling for restrictions on those coming from nations heavily associated with terrorism.

London attack: police seize three vehicles after armed raid in Birmingham – as it happened
Leslie Rhodes, 75, of London, fourth victim confirmed dead

We’re winding down the liveblog for today, although if there are any major developments overnight we will keep you updated here.

Police have appealed for those who knew Khalid Masood to come forward as they try to establish whether he acted alone. A major investigation is underway and 10 people are in custody following raids and searches on properties in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Wales, Surrey and Brighton.

Details emerged of Masood’s complicated backstory, which includes multiple names, several convictions and a nomadic lifestyle.

Seventeen people remain in hospital, and one person remains in a life-threatening condition. The death toll in the attack stands at five including Masood after Leslie Rhodes, 75, died of his injuries overnight.

The Guardian has identified Masood’s half-brother, who gave an interview describing the 2005 London terror attacks as his “worst day at work”.

All of these people have it well because of the place they are born, turn into lunatics because of what? It's fucking weird.

Fort Hood shooter says he's going on 'hunger strike'
By  Pamela K. Browne,   Catherine Herridge
Published March 31, 2017
FoxNews.com

Writing from his cell on death row at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan has declared he is going on a “99 pound hunger strike,” according to a letter reviewed by Fox News.

The former Army psychiatrist, who opened fire on unarmed fellow soldiers at Fort Hood, Texas, in November 2009, killed 13 people and injured 31 that day. Hasan was sentenced to death in 2013 and continues to declare himself an SoA, “soldier of Allah.”

Hasan stated in the handwritten letter that by going on a hunger strike, he will “reduce and then maintain a total body weight of 99 pounds” while protesting “America’s hatred for [Shariah] Laws.”

On March 27, Lt. Gen. Sean B. MacFarland, the commanding general at Fort Hood, issued a statement effectively saying Hasan will not be dismissed by the U.S. Army until he is executed.

“In the case of Major Nidal M. Hasan (redacted) … the sentence  is approved and, except for that portion of the sentence pertaining to a Dismissal from the Service and being put to death, will be executed,” he wrote.

Hasan’s civilian attorney John Galligan told Fox News they are looking at a “very lengthy appellate process -- initially via the military appellate courts … then on to the Supreme Court and thereafter through the tangled web of federal courts.”

Retired Staff Sgt, Shawn Manning, who was shot six times by Hasan, told Fox News senior executive producer Pamela Browne, “The fact that this guy who has no regard for human life still thinks he still has the right to make a statement is tragic.”

Nearly eight years after the attack, Manning is still mired in the military’s appeal process to receive combat-related benefits for his injuries. Manning’s next hearing is scheduled for April 11 at Fort Lewis, Wash. Manning and 41 of his fellow soldiers injured and killed at  Fort Hood were finally awarded Purple Hearts in 2015.

Hasan’s 2009 massacre finally ended when he was shot by civilian police officer Sgt. Kimberly Munley. Hasan, now partially paralyzed, is one of six inmates on military death row at Fort Leavenworth.

Galligan maintains the trial was not fair. “If Major Hasan dies while the mandatory appellate process is pending, the findings and sentence will be set aside,” Galligan said. “Millions of dollars were wasted on this show trial but as I said repeatedly, he did not receive a fair trial at Fort Hood.”

A Florida man who once had common neo-Nazi beliefs with his two roommates killed them after he converted to Islam, claiming they had disrespected his faith, police say.

Devon Arthurs, 18, of Tampa, told police he shot Jeremy Himmelman, 22, and Andrew Oneschuk, 18, on Friday at the Hamptons at Tampa Palms complex after becoming upset about widespread anti-Muslim sentiment, saying he “wanted to bring attention to the cause,” according to a police report obtained by the Tampa Bay Times.

Arthurs then briefly held one employee and one customer hostage at the nearby Green Planet Smoke Shop, where he boasted that he had just killed his roommates, “blasting their head” with a semi-automatic pistol.

“Do me a favor and get the f— on the ground!” Arthurs yelled as he stormed into the store. “Why shouldn’t I kill you?”

He said he was upset that America was bombing Muslim countries, Tampa Bay police Detective Kenneth guy wrote in a police report.

Arthurs eventually freed his hostages and surrendered, making references to “Allah Mohammed” as cops took him to a patrol cruiser.

“I had to do it,” Arthurs said, according to the report. “This wouldn’t have had to happen if your country didn’t bomb my country.”

When asked if anyone else was hurt, Arthurs replied: “The people in the apartment, but they’re not hurt, they’re dead.”

Inside the Amberly Drive apartment, Himmelman and Oneschuk were found shot in the head and upper body, according to the police report.

Prior to the killings, Arthurs said he had “been privy to neo-Nazi internet sites threatening to kill people, and he had developed a thinking that he should take some of the neo-Nazis with him,” according to the report.

Arthurs, who remains jailed without bail, is facing two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated assault and three counts of armed kidnapping.

Himmelman and Oneschuk had recently moved to Florida from Massachusetts for a change of pace before being invited to live with Arthurs, Himmelman’s sister said Sunday.

Lyssa Himmelman told the Tampa Bay Times her brother and Oneschuk had been friends for about a year, with both men aspiring to enlist in the military. She said she didn’t know Arthurs that well, aside from his having extreme views that caused issues in the apartment.

They knew something was off with Arthurs about a week after moving in with him, Lyssa Himmelman told the newspaper. Both men were slated to move out Monday, just three days after they were found dead.

Messages seeking comment by The Post were not immediately returned Monday.

British authorities on Tuesday identified the suicide bomber who launched a deadly attack at a Manchester Ariana Grande concert, hours after the Islamic State terror group claimed responsibility for the blast.

Salman Abedi, 22, was identified as the man who detonated an improvised explosive device at about 10:30 p.m. local time Monday, killing more than 20 people, some of them children, and injuring dozens more, Manchester police confirmed in a news conference on Tuesday. At least 12 children under the age of 16 were injured, emergency responders said. An 8-year-old girl was among the dead.

A European security official told the Associated Press that Abedi was British. No additional details about Abedi were immediately available.

TIMELINE OF RECENT TERROR ATTACKS AGAINST THE WEST

It was previously reported that Abedi was 23, but police clarified that another 23-year-old man was arrested. Two warrants have been issued at two separate residences. Officers used a police-controlled explosive device to gain entry into one home.

ISIS claimed on Tuesday that "a soldier of the caliphate planted bombs in the middle of Crusaders gatherings" then detonated them, but Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats said that the U.S. had not yet verified that the terror group was responsible.

The explosion unfolded outside Manchester Arena as Grande’s concert was coming to a close. The pop star, who wasn’t injured, reportedly suspended her Dangerous Woman Tour following the attack. She wrote on Twitter, "broken. from the bottom of my heart, I am so so sorry. I don't have words."

Officials believe the device was packed with shrapnel, built to inflict as much human damage as possible, according to U.S. law enforcement sources. Manchester police said one of their priorities is to investigate whether the attacker acted alone or had some kind of support.

Politicians both at home and abroad condemned the attack. British Prime Minister Theresa May called the attack “appalling, sickening cowardice."

MANCHESTER ARENA WAS PACKED WITH ARIANA GRANDE'S YOUNG FANS

“We struggle to comprehend the warped and twisted mind that sees a room packed with young children not as a scene to cherish but as an opportunity for carnage,” she said.

President Donald Trump slammed those responsible for the attack as “losers.”
