solid estimation skills bro.

Did you buy them anticipating when he would hit #3000?

2 hits away and one more game to go.

This is becoming must see television.

Sort of like when bonds was climbing up the all-time hr ladder.

Heard the Rays refused to do one.

Stupid move, they would have gotten a chance to face the Yankee "B" lineup.

Facing David Price is tough.

Arod now has a partially torn meniscus.  Great.

Getting 3000 wasn't enough.   5-5 with the game winning hit.  Unbelievable.

I'm not sure how I feel about that.  I have to do some research, since I read that catching that ball is considered a windfall, and therefore subject to taxes, just like a lottery ticket.  So you would have to sell.

But, I would have had no problem with them holding the ball and doing an auction, or trying to sell it for top dollar.  It's just too much money.  Plus,   Jeter doesn't show up to anyone else's work and give them prizes for doing a good job.

A couple hundred grand is nothing to Jeter, who makes a little more than 100k a game.

that's cool biggio was a great player 3060 hits. played 1989 games at 2b 428 at catcher, and 363 in the of. mostly cf. the only guy to go to the majors  out of my old high school was elmer valo who's long dead.

I hear you.  This "represent every team" is akin to giving everyone in Little League a trophy.  Diminishes it completely.

this game should not determine anything esp concerning post season advantage in the world series.
