Funny to see Aldi carries quite different products in the USA. For instance, they don't sell turkey in the Netherlands, only beef, pork and chicken. :(

You have to take your own bags, or use boxes.  25 cent deposit on taking a grocery cart so you'll return it to the corral and a few other basic things like that. [...]
Another difference with the Netherlands: the Aldi here Does not stand out, because you have to bring your own bags. Every grocery store expects you to bring your own bags. Same for the deposit on carts, that's in almost every grocery store. Here it's a 50 euro-cents deposit.

BYOB & cart rental is here too (.25).  Most people are becoming accustomed to BYOB nowadays to any grocer ~ it's the "green thing" to do.

It's a semi-soft cheese from Norway.
Parmesan is a hard cheese.
Why?

I love shopping at Aldi. We save so much money! When I go to a "regular" grocery store I  damn near have a heart attack when they ring up the bill!!! Thanks again Princess L for steering me to Aldi.

Hard cheeses are very nutritious, but generally you don't eat that much for it to have that much of an impact.  Once ounce of grated parm goes a long way to enhance flavor.  I even use the rind to add flavor to (homemade) soups.

I hardly ever get a cart, but when I do, I give it to some old lady coming in.  You'd think they hit the jackpot based on their reaction.

These are coming up next week for $3.29.  They're awesome for holiday entertaining.  Usually $5 or more at other stores.

This will be $2.99.  At least $6 elsewhere.

Me neither...I liked the way the tray clicked out real fast when you hooked it up with another parked cart

What do you expect it to do?  They are great for making soups, sauces, whipped cream, vinegarettes, etc.  Super easy to clean.  Quick and convenient.  Beats hauling out the big stuff.

You're such a curmudgeon
