While the video evidence certainly appears to show that he hit depth, it does not seem as if he locked it out at the top.

Great lifts, hamstring injury was probably a result of too much machine work from bodybuilding, weak link in his posterior chain.

Awesome. It's great to see some huge weights go up without all the equipment. Not that I don't respect equiped lifters, by the way. But we really need to get back, at least in part, to a time when lifting was lifting, you know?

I wanna go over 2,000 raw AND drug-free. Give me perhaps seven more years.

This October I will likely smash through 1700 in a meet.

If I do, I will post pics, no worries (ha, ha). Wish me luck!

Plus we squatted below paralell,and no spotters ever touched the bar unless you failed the lift, or for a liftoff on the bench.


No giant arches on benches and your ass had to stay nailed to the bench and you could not move your feet at all,or the lift didn`t count.

Adding 2-3 hundred pounds to your lifts via a suit is just ridiculous..........don`t get me started!!  ;D

I'm going to have to agree with this. A powerlifter at my old gym has a bench of 530 in a meet and at the gym he is doing 315 for like 7-8 reps tops, kind of weird

The really big guys can get as much as 300 extra pounds added to thier max bench with a really good shirt. I knew a 148er who got 125 pounds added to his bench by his bench shirt.
