Could be, but there were people from London, Sweden, Germany, Japan etc there who probably could have went anywhere. There are cheaper places to stay around the area I was in, but this particular place was not all that cheap. I wouldn't stay there again unless I got a great deal as it was a bit too pricey for me overall. Could be I'm cheap

The caribbean and mexican resorts are the best bang for the buck.

Where else can you go to a quality place with drinks and amazing food included ...in a beautiful place for cheap??

You can also take a speed boat out for 45 min trip (you driving) then snorkle for an hour with 100s of fish and cruise back later for a measly 50 bucks. Awesome place

just returned yesterday from cancun, what did that place run you for the week?

around $4600 which included the non stop airfare, transfers,  wedding ceremony, preferred club, ocean front suite. Most I've paid for the Cancun/Riviera Mayan area but by far the best resort and it was a special ocassion.

I've done Cancun for 4 nights for $300 per person including airfare back in the day but those days are long gone.
