How are you suppose to not drink and drive occasionally
« on: June 22, 2011, 12:23:43 PM »
How do they expect you to not drink and drive once in a while.  It is not like you always have a designated driver if you are meeting up with buddies all driving there own car.  Sometimes people have busy work schedules and don't have time to go over to one's house and get all in one car before they go out and who wants to be the one not to drink.  If they don't want drinking and driving, the state troopers should offer free rides home, no questions asked.

Sounds like a good plan to kill a car full of babies.

You actually have to drink a fair amount of alcohol to be over the legal limit.  It takes 8 beers in 4 hours for me to hit .08 BAC.  Now women weighing less must drink less.

If thats the case then I don't feel sorry for anyone who can drink 8+ beers and think they can drive home.  I always thought it was much less than that to put you over the limit.

Seems that it is nota  big deal in USA.

It is major offence here. Immediately lose your license and banned.

Also if you are drunk don't take your car, get a taxi

not everyplace has taxi's available.  Also taxi's are expensive and require you to get a ride back to pick up your car.  If the states want to cry so much about the problem, how about they contribute to the solution free rides home and back to your car in the mourning.  Solve a lot of drunk driving problems.

drinking and driving isn't that bad, some people are really good at it, others are not, maybe a drivers license exam for BAC level's, different licenses for different drivers.

I don't understand, you know how expensive a taxi is, espcially after you just spent a lot of money on drinks?!  That is crazy to ask someone to pay for a taxi on top of the drinks.  Either the state or the bar should foot the tab for people getting home then returned to their car in the AM.  Drunk driving will not end if this doesn't happen, people are short on money now you think they are going to pay for a fucking taxi all the way home LOL!  No fucking way.

You would still spend money on the gas if you use your car. Of course it's cooler and more comfortable when you are driving your own car, but when you are getting drunk it's not. Anyway that's just my opinion.

I never understood why everyone frowns upon drinking and driving when every bar has a parking lot.  Get rid of the parking lots so cars can't park at the bar.

Seriously, getting arrested for drunk driving where I live in NJ will cost you around 6K after fines, lawyer fees, and the increase in car insurance.  Kill or hurt someone in an accident even if it's not your fault and you are looking at jail time. One guy I know had another driver run a red light. He crashed into him while under the influence and even though the other guy went through the light he did 13 years in jail.

very good commercial , cant be graphic enough because otherwise it will not get through to people.
drinking and driving is serious business, i have to admit i sometime step inside with a friend of mine who already drank just as much as i did and i admit its stupid, he can handle alcohol farely good (but is farely good good enough?) but still.
