I've heard that lower test levels are associated with Grumpy Old Man Syndrome. That and all the world's bs, I suppose, but if things don't roll off his back like they used to and you reckon his character has really changed then it might be worth looking into. There's the common mental ailments of the elderly too, if you think that bears investigating.
Being retired and getting overly impassioned about politics seems to be an old man thing to do though. Been meaning to ask mine why he waited 70 years to get so fired up if this stuff is of such Earth shaking importance.
I just had a my grandfather(my dad's father) die due to issues with Alzheimer's, and I remember that my grandfather watch sports all the time. Nothing really exercising for the brain, Sometimes i am worried since my dad is 69, that this might be the onset.
I shit you not this is a black man that didn't take off for MLK's Holiday...basically the only one who went to work. He has great work ethic. And for about 20 yrs, its been Dr. Mirkin, and conservative talk shows (Ever been in the car as a teenager with your parents when a woman calls up Dr. Mirkin and says she cums about a quart?)
And Everybody is trying to cheat him---that's a 30+ yr thing, but more so now due to the economy. I tell him to cut off the Conservative shit and listen to some Jazz---at least you are not being mind warped by someones agenda.
When my dad listens to Mike Savage, he smiles and says, "you Tell 'Em! Tell the Truth!", and don't get him started on"The Illegals", and every Latino is an "illegal", mind you this is a black man---who obviously forgot that he is a black man ("Are all black men criminals, Dad?"). I told him that he may have a Latina for a daughter in law, then what...
"Obama doesn't know what he is doing!", "Congress are bullies who want to rob you blind!", Blah, blah, blah. If I come over to visit or to help out, I only talk about cars, work...and even then it leads to the same damn thing...
Maybe it's a extreme case of Grumpy Old Man Syndrome combine with Uncle Ruckus Syndrome
