because you are blaming this all on obama when the fact is bush is 90% of the blame for the direction the economy went and obamas issue is the failure to turn it around with moderate to outright failures. The economy has stabilized under him, it was worse when he initially took office do you not realize that. I wouldn't say the stim bill failed because while some parts did he did save many industries and for example college kids ability to attend school. It was meant to halt the decline in alot of areas which it did and to stimulate economic growth which it did not. Your health care system is going to crash, it has to be changed and badly. Preventative health care needs to be implemented or you will cause the fall of america in the future. It's not obamas fault alone, however, he is part of the blame.
You see i agree with you obama hasn;t done well, i just dont think he has failed at everything and i truly believe he is highly intelligent and lacks guts to do the things necessary. He has been cowardly in his policy and has given in far to much. The reason you have to trust him is that of the proposals and options his is obviously the best from an ideological standpoint and in reality, previous repubs have followed similar bipartisan plans and they are usually the best option. Just cutting spending is never a good idea, why would it be for the economy, job creation? it's not based in economics, rather politics and this is the problem.
PLEASE!!!
Obama has been a collosal FLOP, from the moment he stepped into office. As 333386 pointed out, all of those policies of his were MISERABLE FAILURES.
Did the stimulus keep unemployment under 8%? NO!! Heck, nearly all of Obama's economic geniuses have tucked their tails and quit.
Did ObamaCare lower premiums? HARDLY!! (they've gone up, by an average of around $1200.....and it's only going to get worse).
Did ObamaCare guarantee that people could keep their own doctors? NO WAY!!!
What about "Recovery Summer" last year and the 500,000 jobs per month....how'd did that go?
The "Shovel Ready projects"? Less than 8% of the stimulus actually went to that. There are projects where hardly one pebble has been moved.
"Cash-4-Clunkers"? It fell FLAT on its face.
Unemployment has been at least 9% for 26 of the 30 months he's been president.
Go back to last year. 2010 started with 9.7% unemployment and ended with 9.8% unemployment, going no lower than 9.5% (and that was ONLY because of the temporary census jobs). Of course, those are the "official" unemployment numbers which don't count those dropped from the roster, because they've stopped looking for work or have been unemployed for at least a year.
And, to top it all off, the one group that almost mindlessly supports Obama (take a wild guess as to who that is) has been crippled more than any other, by his policies.
